No, the root of those balance issues are enemies who block and dodge powers.
So... Collectors?

I thought the issue was the RNG?

They are designed to deal out absurd amounts of dmaage and then run the **** away cause thier screwed if they get caught since they lack the health and shielding of higher classes.
I have never understood the point of Infiltrators make the game unbalance when thier filling thier Niche as Damage dealers
Now you could argue there aren't enough enemies that counter powers -Seeker Swarms- or that the enemies don't have an anti-infiltrate unit.
This isn't PVP and the rewards aren't based on individual performance. It's a TEAM based game
You don't see the ****ing Priest whining that all he ever does is Heal and Buff/Debuff and never gets to be the one to slay the dragon!

why not search and post in one of the other 1,000 infiltrator hater threads already here?

Yep. Clearly Infiltrators are at fault here.
Also, Mumba stole my reaction.

but you do hear priests complaining whrn they get replaced by dps with strong offheals. which is actually happening in challenge modes.WarGriffin wrote...

No they should be the burst damage class, soldiers should be the sustained DPS class. Modify cloak so that you can't cancel cloak early to reduce cooldown and you fix all the problems associated with TC and you're able to give infiltrators the 40% multiplicitive sniper damage boost back again.WarGriffin wrote...

I guess BW didn't want another Krysae so they balanced the Venom around the sexbot, which is why it's just horrible on a normal class.
What a waste of an Ultra Rare.

I think the same can be said for the Ghost and Spitfire.Feneckus wrote...
I'm sure infiltrators are to blame for how bad the Venom is.

You can have two DPS classes, and soldier's Double as tank/Aggro drawers, ergo Infiltrator's have more damage.
and technically Burst damage is what they do... they just do it in quick succession

All Infiltrators can out DPS All soldiers even the Vanilla Human due to TC canceling. I'd like to see Infiltrators with a BW/Crusauder out DPS the AR soldier through the first clip but then the soldier closes the gap in the second and pulls ahead in the third clip but then with TC ready again the Infiltrator pulls ahead with the fourth.InstaShark wrote...

That's what I'd like to see but its nowhere close with any weapon set much less the Sniper Rifles.

Here's where you're wrong, You can literally always have all of your BW shots in the TC damage window due to TC canceling. Thats not burst damage thats sustained damage, its not quick succession its sustained.WarGriffin wrote...

Human Soldiers can't tank damage they have 500 base shields they get gate just as easily as GI Joes.
EDI and the TGI are much better tanks than the Human Soldier.

They can't, actually.
and with your change they wouldn't win out in the first burst or in the long run. They might tie in the beginning with Sniper Rifles at best.
As i've been so fond of pointing out, Adrenaline Rush's damage spike annihilate's TC's damage spike, and yes even with Sniper Rifles, on a smaller clip weapon. Where TC is making up the ground is because the frequency of the spikes is significantly quicker than Adrenaline Rush that needs to wait out the duration before getting a 3 second cooldown with heavy weapons.
Take away the faster bursts and you're left with only the top Infiltrators being able to compete with the Soldiers at damage dealing.
because Sabotage sure as hell isn't going to make up the damage difference in weapons for the FQI.
