Does crushing prison cause the game to crash sometimes?

During my playthroughs...I would randomly crash every so often...and I could never figure out why.

Sometimes when this would happen...I would restart the game...and control Morrigan through the part where I crashed previously...just so that the other character can take out the enemies while I didn't move at all with Morrigan...and just healed.

This happened through a couple playthroughs...and just recently it dawned on me...that maybe the crashing was from something Morrigan was doing...since I never seemed to crash at all when I controlled her.

So I took out crushing prison from her tactics so that she never uses it...and I have yet to experience any crashes.

Why would this power be causing my game crashes?

I've experienced occasional crashes with mana clash, holy smite, and cleanse area. Don't know why these crashes happen, but after using mods to remove sustained vfx's for abilities such as rally, crashes seem to have reduced quite a bit. For me the game hasn't crashed due to crushing prison as of yet, but I'm guessing it might be related to the same problem.
