I never liked Ash. Always being so butch in ME 1 acting she's born with both reproductive genetalia, then trying to be the "better person" in ME 2 by abandoning me when I asked her to join me in Cerberus for the greater good!

When ME 3 Finally came along I figured THIS IS the LAST STRAW!!! Always questioning my motives, not really trusting my abilties as a captain, but quick enough to gloat to other soldiers.. going like.. "Do I know Sheppard... Yeah, I knew (Screwed) him"

Biatch please... You've abandoned me more times than a Red headed step child. Of all the characters she is my most hated supporting character in HIStory. She's such a TOOL!

Lol how dare she not join a terrorist organisation. The nerve!

You know, I totally get her not wanting to join Cerberus.  What I never totally got was VS questioning my loyalties after watching me clear Horizon of Collectors, and seeing that, despite the fact that I share their opinion of Cerberus, Cerberus isn't the one attacking the colonies.  (Even though I have to question whether they would have, if it wasn't already going on)  This pattern continues into 3, where on Mars, one should really have a Paragon interrupt to shoot them in the head, regardless of which VS it is.  No, I didn't put Paragon there on accident.  Questioning your superior officer once is overlookable, continually doing so is punishable by bullet in the brain pan.  Either way, neither of them make it onto the Normandy after coup.  The pattern of insubordination is too strong to overlook, and I don't want them deciding it's time to go back to questioning my orders in a combat situation, or trying to pretend that anyone but Garrus is my XO, and trying to do something dumb with my ship.  So the last nail in the coffin for VS comes way before the Citadel DLC, it actually gets started on Horizon in ME 2, and finished off on Mars.  If I could leave the body and run from the Reapers, I would.

For me I'm not surprised (but am kind of disappointed) that she had the trust issues for so long in ME3.  I mean Shep was with Cerberus, and Cerberus kind of do have a history of indoctrinating people.  Way I saw it is that she just wanted to make sure Shep was really Shep.

I guess if Bioware had the trust issues run shorter or by not having the VS getting injured at Mars at all, it would have removed the climax of the whole Coup attempt.

I just wished it was someone else questioning Shep instead of the VS seeing as how the VS was hardly in ME2 as it is.

Yep that's all I did too, the paragon options.  I knew Ash would come around.

You can Renegade it too, if you don't want to either shoot them yourself, or let x squadmate do it.  I've grown soft in my last couple of playthroughs, and allowed them to live, but I still do not let them join the squad.  Both of them got Chaotic Stupid, standing right there during the scene on the Shuttle Bay, with Anderson both reinstating you, and ordering you to the Citadel, but pretending like they weren't there for the dialog.  Listening to Hackett order you to Mars first, but questioning that too.  Hello, VS, we're going to Mars because an Admiral ordered us to, there is no need for you to question the Admiral, unless, of course, you think he was working for Cerberus too?Image IPB

What bothered me about Ash with Vega is that i headcanon since Leviathan that Vega would end up with Ann Bryson and now Ash is just being a home wrecker :D

I just dont like Ash. I dont agree she was changed all that much from ME1. She´s always been the same pessimistic, glass half empty person. She was just stuck in her way of thinking and i like that because i actualy know ppl just like that and makes Ash more "alive" and real for me. At the same time she annoys me and is along with Jacob my least favorite character because of that.

Good point, I guess I didn't mind them questioning others since it kind of balances everything out.  I never let the VS shoot Udina, I just do it myself.  I love that renegade option.

After what happened to her grandfather I'm not surprised that Ash is pessimistic and glass half empty.  I felt she got better in ME3 she didn't seem as pessimistic to me.  I guess Shep gave her something to believe in.

I didn't even do that.

I simply told her I don't know why Cerberus is on Mars
I reassured her that IShepard  had no contact with Cerberus since blowing up the base
I also assured her that She's still Shep, and Cerberus didn't turn him into a talking husk.  Ash actually seemed reassured about that.

That and a few visits to the hospital and I didn't even need to make a persuation check during the coup.  She trusted Shep enough to turn her gun on Udina on her own.

I even let her take the shot Image IPB

Oh I see.  Yeah that's why I never get it, I always do the bomb mission pre-Rannoch since it's timed.

Timer doesn't start until you rescue the turians.  As long as you do those missions before Thessia you're fine.

Ash and James actually have some good dialogue on the turian platoon mission.

I agree she might have a reason to have that chip on her shoulder but as a player and with such great squadmates in the trilogy, her personality and views just get a bit tiresome. The way she acts towards Shep in 2 and 3 i think is true to her character and i agree that she might even have reason to react as she does but she just isnt very likable for it.

True, I think Bioware definitely could have made her come off as more likable if they wanted to, but they didn't.  Having her be reclusive in her room doesn't really help much.  I'm just glad that ME3 didn't end with Shep & Ash having unresolved issues, if you romance her they figure it all out.

I renegaded it. "Ash, I will kill even you. Nothing is more important than the war against the Reapers." "Oh Shepard, its really you. Ok." Trololol. Macking on her 2 missions later like a bawss.

RenegadeShep doesn't give 2 f*cks. Got the quarians to make peace by telling them he was going to let the geth kill them bwahahaha.

Standard sexist BS.

I wonder how many people who complain about Ashley having a one night stand, encouraged Garrus with that female Turian.

My Renegade Shepard did much better than that; she shot both Ashley and Legion, and didn't even give one f*ck.

Kaidans cooking scene was actually one of my favorite scenes with him. It's the first time shepard does something normal with another character. It was real and alot better than taking shots.

I've taken shots with someone way more than I've sat around watching them cook. Lifestyles vary. Ash is a partier and always has been.

Having romanced Ash in ME1, and then seeing this scene, all I could think was...

"Vega's getting Shepard's sloppy seconds!"

Better to just not let Wrex off Virmire, thus successfully deceiving the krogan when you choose not to cure the genophage.

Still would have preferred scene of meeting her sisters and mother.  Complete with awkward moment of said mother going "What are your intentions towards my daughter"

Seems like Vega charm is irresistible. Every woman wants him or bullies him to have sex with her. Do girls normally go for men like that?

Edit: Wierd, I realised I am asking this as a woman, but I really wonder.

I had Shepard encourage Garrus with the female Turian, and had the fling between Garrus & Tali play out.

In both cases it wasn't serious, so he doesn't have to limit himself to one or the other.
