My Awakened Collector is named Tommy Boy, for this.

Soldiers' names include ranks: Private Parts, Major Headache, Corporal Punishment, General Ennui, etcetera.  The Batarian soldier's head looks like a brain, so he's called Corporal Callosum.  An exception is the Krogan soldier, who is red, blue, and black, and called Strongbad.

Krogan Sentinel, coloured grey and white: Strongsad

Geth Juggernaut: Fezzik

Vorcha Soldier, Sentinel, and Engineer: Larry, Curly, and Moe

Krogan Warlord: Big Gay Al (he's dressed in pink)

Vanguards are usually named "Van" something: Van Morrison (vanilla human), Van Dalism (phoenix), Van Illa (Slayer), Van Halen (Batarian).  There are exceptions, such as Skidoosh the Kroguard.  

Volus have names connected to their roundness: Marco Rollo, Ground Round, and Roy Orbison.  I don't have a name for the volus engie yet.

All of my Infiltrators are names from Batman. My other favourites are names based from A Song of Ice and Fire, or Game of Thrones to the non-readers.

I also name characters I hate (ie Quarians) stupid names, for obvious reasons.

My two favourites are: Batman (Salarian Infiltrator) and Dick Grayson (Drell Infiltrator). They're also my two favourite characters. My Volus Engineer is named Tyrion.

My GE is named Dr. Flashlight, because his turret is always specced for healing and I always carry Medi-Gel Transmitter with him. I also assign his main color as white and his lights as red, to give him the medic look.


Wish our character names were visible during MP matches, or at least in the lobby, so we could see what other people named theirs.
