Hold the line only if you have a Juggernaut AND Volus. Other than that...venture around until last few seconds.

Paragon.
Spread out your arms wide and embrace all the incoming fires for your teammates.
Your sacrifice will be remembered.
Then, I'll take the credits and flush it all at the Afterlife.

Actually, I usually go to save someone even if there's only 10sec left until extraction.

I've sacrificed myself the same way, many times. I feel good when the person I revived makes extraction... at least it worked out.
I feel crappy when they don't, though...

Put on your headset, tell them how to play.

Wave 11 is all about the individual player....its all about getting those bonus credits....do what you have to do to survive extraction and get to the LZ..so I guess renegade..

I've got friends who still rush to the LZ, after dying there time and time again.
I'll usually find a quiet spot a safe distance from the LZ and help them out by sniping anything that gets too close to them. Then I ready a missile, and with 20 seconds left rush in, fire the missile and extract.

Eh, I usually don't go to the LZ until the last 10 seconds or so but if everyone else does I usually head there too. Even though it's so so stupid.....it's like they enjoy suffering or something.

When I play with randoms I see so many people rush directly to the LZ.... NO!!!!
I mean the enemy always goes there :/
I start running so I can make it there, but I like to be there as late as possible.

Paragon.
I always want a Full Extract, and I want People to survive.
Normally I try to tell'em that's not a good Idea heading straight to the LZ.
But I'll have to help the Team.
It's like if a Team Member gets killed, I'm kinda always taking great Risks to revive them.
Tbh, I lose either one OSP than a Team Member for a Wave.

Hold the line, it's just a game. The renegade part on me tells me to play solo, survivability is there, not on party games ...

Use your mic and ask them to stay away from the landing zone? It works for me.

unless an extraction camp is agreed upon in advance, i won't head there until i must.

I'll try to aggro the baddies to keep the heat off of them, but if its on London or Hydra, for example, I'll chill until its time to go, especially if its against reapers.

Renegon. Paragate. Colgate. Whatver.
I help. Not.
People can learn from their mistakes. Plus, it gives "lone survivor" medal. I love "lone survivor" medals. It feels like I am a badass and all.

If there is still more than 30 seconds left on the clock then I won't be heading toward the LZ no matter who is there or how bad they might be struggling. i play for credits not xp so if it isn't a full extraction it does not bother me.

Funny this is coming up again I play like this Gold and Platinum stay away . Silver and Bronze if everyone else is ramboing I stay at lz everyone comes back it provides covering fire . The Gold matches that the lz was being held by everyone was very intense and really felt like an accomplishment though . It all depends on the risk you are willing to take. The extraction bonus is nice but on silver and bronze is miniscule compared to gold and platinum . Besides if we make wave 11 it is a bonus anyway and know I have done my best to get there and had fun doing it and that is what matters most to me .

Renegade.
Extracting is an individual effort. I'm not risking my credits for some pleb camping extraction. I'll get them up and they'll stay there, becase they don't get the message. Then when it comes to the last 20 seconds, LZ is swarmed.
The sooner they die on wave 11 the better.
If they're not camping there and they go down, then I'll go out of my way to save them.

I go Renegade on Silver or higher. Bronze, I mix it up.

The only time you should hold the LZ during extraction wave is on Ghost hazard against Collectors on gold.
#50
Posté 25 mars 2013 - 06:10
Really depends on the diff level and the map.. silver and lower whatever... gold lzs can be held on most maps pretty safely even hydra and ghost if the closest spawn to lz are blocked. Platinum is very problematic except maybe for giant in any event anyone playing platinum should know not to camp the lz.. unfortunately this isn't the case.
