Whats up with you?

Oh you mean like my guides?:wizard:

your spam is "what's up with me", thought that was clear in my last response. stop trying to make everything about you. also, your guides are for solo's in a co-op game and are oxymoronic.

That's why I played them the most. Truth is that I'm still the mediocre player I was at launch. Still using an easy class to get by.

Like I said. You should force yourself to try some new characters. I have no idea how you can stand only using one class.

please don't leave the match. It hurts my feelings real bad when I find myself all alone after butchering countless enemies. I mean real sad ;( and please be polite.

Well I am serious. I for one grow weary of literally 9/10 of my matches being ones that I need to solo. These new guys with no gear, no consumables, no idea how to play the game should simply not be playing in gold.

sorry, but i kinda stopped reading after that. people can play the game how they want, if you're not good enough to carry them, maybe you shouldn't be playing gold? just saying

it winds me up a little when new players come into gold lobbies or set them up, but that's their prerogative. if i land in a lobby with new players, i'll play, complete the match in 20mins and hope they learn something based on my positioning, when i used rockets etc etc.

ryoldschool said he just leaves lobbies if they don't have gear (somewhere in this thread). why? help them through it and maybe they'll learn, which in turn means less of a "problem" for the more experienced player

Because he can play the way he wants, and constantly carrying people gets tiring.  I do it fairly often, but sometimes I don't want to.  If they can waste my time, I can refuse to was their time.  That's know as playing the game how I want.

Anyone can do anything they want that isn't illegal, that doesn't mean they are inconsiderate and I don't have to help them.

Don't particularly understand why the hate on Geth Trooper & Acolyte. It is one of if not the most forgiving kits on high lag games. Coming from a standpoint of GMT +8 (Approximately 13 hours ahead of US/ Canada) most games are pinged at 300+. 400+ for Europe lobbies

Stronghold 5 & Cryo ammo is about all you need for this setup and I have lost count the times I have had to solo Gold and even the occasional Platinum games with 300+ using this kit.

It's not the kit, it's the bronze players who watched a video and think they can wreck gold games with it.  You can usually spot these players by how they try to flamer a full barrier banshee and get grabbed numerous times.

[edit: to xbox players - based on some of the comments here from newer players, i am willing to put my balls on the line and offer to help with gaining credits. if you want to play a few gold games and/or just want some advice, feel free to message me on xbox live and i will invite you into some games later on. gamertag in sig]

Same here for PS3 newbies. As for the maps, London exfiltration is always in the same place, but Rio changes :)

I love that character. I spec out of HM for more shields. His flamer is strong enough without it. He's my lazy man's cheese class:wizard:

Question on going gold. When it is a pizza delivery, should I attempt to carry it (I don't know how to run with the pizza) or wait for someone who can run?

You could add an adrenalin mod to walk faster.

On topic: Always know where your team members are and never go rambo alone as you will most likely get killed which could possibly cause a revive train putting the team at risk. Don't get too focused on one enemy that you lose your situational awareness and get flanked. Your team dont have eyes everywhere so watch your own back. Theres tons more I can share but thats it for now

And that I admit, is the same kit I followed and specced out of Hunter Mode too, exactly the way you showed it. Its the same kit I can bring to high latency Platinums. (Megabeast still wants to strangle you BTW)

High latency games automatically nullifies the use of Vanguards (de-synch & rubberband) Drells, and sniper classes. Anyways that's off topic

Ok, so to validate your sterling work here:

New player (having started ME3MP about 2 months ago) reporting for duty! I'm able to hold my own in silver by now, but wouldn't touch gold with a long stick yet, because i don't have a reliable team and it takes ages to get anything rare or UR to level IV or above.

Anyway: very helpful read, even if i'm still quaking in my wet boots at the thought of going gold anytime in the foreseeable future. Thanks for the insights!

Regarding wave 11, extraction. Although its a good rule not to run straight to the extraction. I also feel there are exceptions to that rule. There are some maps where is substantially easier to just hold the extraction, even on platinum, e.g. Giant.

Its also sometimes good to start at the extraction, then kite away from extraction, and then finally return. I find this helpful against collectors.
