I'm currently using an ME3 import where all my previous equipment showed up prior to the start, and I am gradually improving weapons up to the X level (Thank God for Armax Gold tokens).

One thing that I'm a little less excited about is having to start as level 60 and the same class.  Now I used Gibbed to modify my class to a Sentinel, but I really would prefer to import my ME2 save and start at level 30.  The game is a little more fun when finding medigel dispensers gives XP, and you have the little rewards of leveling up along the way.

So do I get any play thorough benefit to doing an ME2 import after completing ME3?  Are my weapons going to be at the current level, or will they revert to level 1?  Will I have to find all the weapons again, or can I start using my M11 Suppressor on the Mars mission?

If the answer is "back to level 1 weapons for you", then do I need to do anything special in Gibbed to set myself back to level 30, other than set the level on the first screen?

With a newly imported character, you'll have to re-earn all weapons, mods and armors, There are no benefits from completing ME3 with a different character this time.
Can't say anything about Gibbed.
