 such as the grunt/mordin fight?
I would post this in the ME2 threads but I wouldn't get an answer.

I don't think you can mod that fight in, just hear the audio of it.

But I did mod my game a few times to allow myself to pickup any squad mate mission at anytime. It's cool to hear the extra dialogue you get by taking squad mates on missions they can't normally be on.

I don't think this has been done. It would require some extensive modding of ME2s sequences. While we now have the ability to explore ME2 pcc files, there is no sequence editor for ME2 (yet) which makes mods for the game flow very tedious.
Even if we had such a tool, it would still be a very difficult undertaking since AFAIK, all we have now is the audio files, no animations or cutscenes for these events. So you'd have to add a whole heap of new custom made (or recycled) material to the game.

It's similar to the extended Shep-Anderson dialogue in ME3. Just because the audio is there doesn't mean that it's as easy as just triggering it in the game (and even that wouldn't be easy at all).

This thread made that process super easy.

Good luck to you and all squad members have dialogue on the earlier missions. I remember reading the only reason they broke it up was because they had to split the game into multiple disks for consoles but originally they were going to have it be a 'pick anyone in any order' style game. Not sure if that is true but it would explain why Tali, Thane, Samara and Legion have dialogue on earlier missions.
