Although it sure would've been nice to fix some bugs. But priorities are priorities. :7

And you couldn't tell us this 2 weeks ago? Figured you trick people once again into maybe sticking around a bit longer, only to inform them of the regretful news at the last possible minute? What a joke. My opinion of how EA/BioWare communicates with players has been in freefall for a while now and it just keeps on falling.
What exactly have they tricked you into doing?
If you haven't enjoyed playing the game in those last two weeks then more the fool you for doing so. Or were you expecting some, "Fix all things update" before the dev team left.
Ask yourself why they didn't make this announcement until now. Hint: it's the same reason why they held off on telling us there wouldn't be a patch for so long.
You really believe BW get to decide when they make their announcements. I think you're directing your ire at the wrong two letters.

I understood there champ, I just feel your delusional angst is being directed at BW - in addition to EA - when they really have no control over it. Of course that isn't going to placate you though so continue on about how BW tricked you and turned you into a newt.

Unfortunately I hate to pull the "Blame EA" card, but it was EA who decided that a very limited amount of people were needed for the MP team. EA also decided that even with all the micro-transaction and SP DLC money that we only deserved limited support for a year. Bioware did make their own mistakes, but this was due to keeping the game balanced in a way to promote paying for the packs with real money.Trogdorx wrote...
There is entirely too much butt-kissing in this thread.
BW made many, many mistakes when it came to this game, SP and MP included. Many overpowered things are still overpowered, many underpowered things are still underpowered. And it really didn't seem like any of our threads pointing out these issues had any effect on what actually happened in the balance changes.
"There are many things we wish we had time to fix and improve, but as Jonathan Warner mentioned in Bioware’s blog post here, the team is moving on to new and exciting projects."
Bullcrap. You had plenty of time; many issues are months old. You either squandered it, or you were playing favorites with the balance changes.
Letting micro-transaction systems influence the balance of the game is a very bad thing indeed.
Yes you should hate blaming EA. He does have a point they had more then enough time and resources to fix the problems the ME multi faced but they chose to waste it on silly frivelous changes in the most part. 1 year is more then long enough to create a full sized half descent game. Even with a limited team if they were half as talented as they boast they should have easily been able to fix the bugs.
Honestly having taken a full year to fix bad glitches like Collectors, rockets etc and it is EA's fault? They didn't even fix the problem it is here to stay. No again blaming it on EA everytime something goes wrong is the norm on forum but anybody can see that is far from the truth.
Sometimes things look easier as they in fact are. This especially comes true if you are to assess the work of others.
Just for an example: In my company there is one department which did not manage to write one SOP (standard operating procedure) in nearly one year. Everyone says this is impossible, why didn't they do it and so on. The fact is that there were a lot of other things with higher priority and of course capacity also was a problem.
Are you? And don't give me the usual BS about being part of a big company and somehow know it all. Yeh sure i made resident evil (you don't believe me...good) It seems half of BSN is an amateur programmer these days. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that EA funds and gives deadlines but it is up to Bioware to decide where best to allocate those resources. Just like the ending debacle it is Biowares fault and only Biowares fault.
These people are "professional" programmers and should know better. In any other job this kind of tardiness would get people fired but given their knowledge of the product and the difficulty replacing them they get away with it pure and simple.

Was expecting this given everything else announced.
It's been a good year with ME3 MP. I admittedly wasn't feeling too optimistic way back when first hearing that Mass Effect was going to get multi-player.
I'm glad to say that I was wrong about that one.
& Thanks BW for the effort and experiences throughout.

Hey everyone, I regret to announce that we will no longer be releasing any more balance updates. There are many things we wish we had time to fix and improve, but as Jonathan Warner mentioned in Bioware’s blog post here, the team is moving on to new and exciting projects.
I just wanted to say that our team has really enjoyed interacting with the community this past year through weekend events, balance changes, and discussions on the forums. We learned a lot about running a multiplayer service, and the community definitely taught us a lot about our own game through amazing gameplay videos and in depth analysis of our weapons, powers, and kits. I know Mass Effect 3 multiplayer was a bit controversial when it was announced, but I think it’s safe to say it was a huge success.
Although weekend events and balance changes are finished, you will still see us around the forums. Thanks for playing!
You did tell EA that they could mike this cash cow some more right? You guys could continue to develop for MP (and charge for it) for some time to come. I'll give ya $100 for 4 new maps weapons and characters.

a) Don't criticize BioWare, because they aren't in control of the statements they put out. Blame EA instead.
The sheer absurdity of the statements people make on BSN never ceases to amaze me.
