Bad news: EA decides to pull the plug on multiplayer support but keeps transactions.
Either way, Multiplayer's been a surprising but good (would've been great if Fagnan didn't Krysae'd the Destroyer) part of Mass Effect 3. I do have some complaints but overall, it's been a great ride.

Team did brilliantly, you pulled off MP amazingly (and I was extremely skeptical) and it was a great ride.
See you all in the next game.
Totally spot on it was the biggest surprise and far better than I first thought. It hard to believe since me3 launch half my gametime on me3 was in fact splayer. U guy not only ensured I embrace it for me3 but I was very anti mplayer in general till I did me3 mplayer. Though me series always will anf should be splayer first there no doubt there scope for uvguys to add mre to upcoming me4 xperience and hopefully less glaring irritating glitches . Well done though Eric and everyone cnt wait for me4 mplayer who woulda thought I say that1!

- TGI and AIU remain heavily OP
- Talon merc is bugged
- new URs like Venom, BPP, Spitfire are still crap. Well, thanx for Lancer anyways!

- Talon merc resets keybindings and cannot use Thermal Clip Packs. (Eric Fagnan has acknowledged this problem and its specific cause, yet nothing is going to be done about it. Everyone feel sorry for southpaw gamers and anyone else that uses custom keybindings.)
- Geth rocket troopers still rapid-fire rockets.
- Geth bombers still sometimes ignore damage when hit with powers.
- Combat Drone, Decoy, and Sentry Turret are still practically useless on gold and platinum and only moderately viable on silver. Geth Turret is generally only viable if evolved to restore shields. (Feel like the engineer class needs more love? How about the VolSent? Maybe this should have been addressed.)
- Shockwave is still bugged for Radius, which causes it to only affect enemies 50% of the time.
- Snap Freeze is still bugged for Tech Combo, which provides no benefit.
- Certain attributes of powers still don't apply for the player if they are off-host.
- Harrier recoil values are still bugged, and its damage is not in accordance with its description.
- Many powers still have obvious best choices for certain ranks. (Looking at you, Warp and Lift Grenade.)
- Countless minor bugs.
- etc.
Half or more of these issues are now over a year old. I don't know how someone could leave their own product in a state like this and say it's all fine and dandy.
It's a great game, but, guys, you left a few too many broken pieces in for this to be cool. We were all expecting that one day, at least one of you would put the effort in to fix it. But, no, you had to dedicate four patches to the missle glitch instead.

For the last few patches, the focus has not been on either improving the metagame or fixing bugs - it's been microtargetted on hindering farming and reducing the missile glitch. One can say that fixing bugs was a priority all one wants - the patch cycle and contents of said patches show otherwise. We have had - literally - four updates that tried to "Fix" the missile glitch. This was very clearly prioritized over obvious things like crash-causing bugs, and glaringly obvious bugs that people have complained about for about a year now.
But why? Why was the missile glitch so fawking important that it was worth ignoring the page after page after page of bugs that the community had already compiled into a nice, neat list? What was so critical about this that it literally trumped everything else?
You should know the answer to that question. In case you don't, however, don't feel bad: I'll spell it out for you. The meme that the devs cared only about the bottome line? That one that many players were all-too-dismissive-of? It was true, the entire time.
The only reason one can justify chasing the missile glitch and ratcheting down on farming methodologies (whilst breaking things in the process and ignoring so much else) is because the missile glitch and Platinum Farming methodologies were allowing reliable credit influx - and ergo resulting in fewer players buying magic space points. That means fewer microtransaction purchases.
A reasonable person cannot, possibly, look at the final patch and not acknowledge the credibility of the above: not only were the litany of community-found bugs not addressed, but the last patch was basically slightly ratcheting-back the Collectors and - you guessed it - another attempt to fix the missile glitch. For the final patch of a game so riddled with bugs, that is an embarrassment, especially when many of these bugs can cause crashes, instability, or render certain match-ups utterly unplayable. One cannot claim ignorance on these: the bugs were widely-available in easy-to-read, concise charts, and many of them, such as incorrect data-values or improperly-speccing evolutions, were by all accounts, no-brainer fixes. The devs even chose to ignore a crash bug, which I know from my time working in software was enough to get a program to fail a QA test.
Whatever their reasons, they chose to leave the game in its current state - bug-ridden and loaded with problems - and say: "yes, we're fine with the game like this."
The last patch's content and the apparent unwillingness to support the game further speaks volumes. I make it a point to not post motivators in threads, but damn if the one in that link doesn't fit in this case.

Indeed. So much for the 'buy-packs-to-support-multiplayer' mentality of the early days.x1ceshad0w wrote...

I think its smoother now than it has been especially during "ShieldGate". Twice now I've been in a Gold match thinking 'Ooo, this Silver's not going so well.... Oh, right' after checking the scores and seeing the match has been Golded while I wasn't paying attention.x1ceshad0w wrote...

I also think that 1 year's support and DONE! is not enough especially leaving at least two versions with game-bruising bugs (PC - Talon merc, PS3 - Collectors). This is something that needs to be learned from Valve who are still supporting TF2 with new maps, gamemodes and decorative items after nearly 6 years so much so that the game went F2P, something I never thought I'd see on an FPS. I won't drop real money if it doesn't change this pattern in any way.
HOWEVER:
I was pleased about all these patches made to the consoles keeping all the versions as close together as possible. Valve abandoned the Xbox version of TF2 while the PC one shines ahead recently adding their own horde mode. So one way ME3MP has shined is the universal coverage.
Despite the gripes I would also like the to thank you personally Eric for taking the time to make this farewell-to-ME3MP post. It's been quite the ride and I do appreciate all the work even if I don't say it as often as I should. Good luck with your future endeavours.
