this makes me feel like Bioware will take what they have learned and make the ME4 multiplayer even more awesome.

Implying that we'll get an ME4.
I sure hope we do. Yea Shepard's story may be done, but I love the Mass Effect Universe itself. Great place for more stories and lore.

Not unexpected, but I have to say it would have been more sensible to release the last MP mod a good month earlier so as to allow time for balancing and fixing issues it brought up. To close it all down so soon after release seems like bad planning.
Having said that, I have enjoyed the MP portion of the game and while it is not the reason I purchased the game or why I would purchase a future ME game, I am greatful for the work that went into it and into keeping it maintained for the last year. It's a pity not to extend the maintenance beyond the final release, but I know in these economic times it's not always viable to keep a skeleton crew running things for another year.

Thanks for the awesome Free DLCs and patches, it was a hell of a year! 
I'll still play it and I hope most people do, until Mass Effect 4, and heck, even after it, why not!

I was a MP skeptic when the announcement was made. I hoped deeply that the SP team would not be interfered with and wrote off the MP as a tag on to make me play the game longer.
I tried the demo as a loyal ME fan and I've never looked back. It's been a fun year on the MP servers! The team did a fantastic job and made this skeptic a believer. The free DLC was very classy and added longevity. Thank you Bioware - specifically the MP team. I've enjoyed it all!

I'd just like to say thank you Bioware for the MP. It was and still is a great source of fun to come back to now and again. Even if the servers went down tomorrow, I will have enjoyed the many, many hours spent on this game and this new facet, and look forward to where this will go next.
For me, and I didn't realize this at release, this turned out to be my favorite thing in ME to this point. PLEASE DON'T STOP GIVING US INTERESTING STORIES! But also, don't leave out the MP. =)

I played a bunch of the first ME, but hardly noticed as the second one came out. I can say without a doubt that the ME3 multiplayer beta is what re-introduced me to the series, made me go back and play the second, and what kept me playing ME3 long after I had beaten the campaign.
Many games have tried survival mode co-op, and not many kept me interested for very long...but I always seem to come back to ME3, even if I've been playing other games for months. I eventually glance at my game cases and see it sitting there and go "You know what, that game is always fun, I'm going to return to it for a while". The multiplayer made this game for me.
I'm glad I got to see what great interactions you had with the community for so long up until this point, regarding pretty much all multiplayer changes, although it's a bit sad that part of the run is over. But I hope you guys know it is not something most companies can do so successfully, even without comparing it to anyone else you guys did an amazing job.
Good luck to the team, whatever their new focus may be, I'm definitely going to keep an eye on you guys

Well its sad but fortunately the game is at a quite balanced state. But I can't avoid thinking that this is a little soon after the last DLC.

I bet, the next MP on ME4 is gonna be AWESOME. Just 2 things:
1. Do a stand alone version of this MP, I'll miss all my stuff...
2. NO MORE NERFINGS, TEST YOUR WEAPONS/CHARACTERS before you broke the heart of millions of players.

buying one by one is annoying as hell.
4.- Release one new char every 2 weeks, not 4 in a row every month.
5.- Add COOP for normal story mode... or add missions like that for MP.
Ie, instead of having 3-4 teammates in a very enclosed enviroment doing repetitive "kill enemies, bring pizza". Play a full long map with your friends as squad members.. putting your single player char variants into the game..
similar to left4dead gameplay style.
