Hey everyone, I regret to announce that we will no longer be releasing any more balance updates. There are many things we wish we had time to fix and improve, but as Jonathan Warner mentioned in Bioware’s blog post here, the team is moving on to new and exciting projects.
I just wanted to say that our team has really enjoyed interacting with the community this past year through weekend events, balance changes, and discussions on the forums. We learned a lot about running a multiplayer service, and the community definitely taught us a lot about our own game through amazing gameplay videos and in depth analysis of our weapons, powers, and kits. I know Mass Effect 3 multiplayer was a bit controversial when it was announced, but I think it’s safe to say it was a huge success.
Although weekend events and balance changes are finished, you will still see us around the forums. Thanks for playing!

Team did brilliantly, you pulled off MP amazingly (and I was extremely skeptical) and it was a great ride.
See you all in the next game.

Sad...
Even though I knew it was coming.
Much love and thanks!
Although I wrote it two weeks before it was actually true:
This is my thank you.
I will miss the Bioware staff presence in the MP forums, as I'm sure it will be much smaller than before. You guys were a joy and a delight, especially after perusing the forums of other developers.
I've only ever bought a couple of games the day they came out, and ME 3 is the only one I ever pre-ordered. I expected to barely touch the MP, as I believe most people did.
Converted to hours played and enjoyment, I expect ME 3 occupies a place alongside Fallout 3 and New Vegas as the best value I've ever received for what I paid. I have at least 750 hours of combined gameplay for SP and MP. That was some of the best money I ever spent in my life.
And not just that, but the Bioware Social Network itself is amazing, especially the MP portion. You guys have collected an amazing community of people around you. People who truly enjoy spending their time adding to knowledge base of your creation.
I'm sad that many of you are moving on, but happy to look forward to the future works you will create, with Bioware, and elsewhere in the gaming community.
I'm glad to be a part of one of the best corners of the internet, ever!
Love,
-Jeremiah the Twelfth Level Geek.
(Signed it like I used to, embarrassingly, do in the old days, 'cuz I'm sentimental like that.)
