It was a fun ride, hopefully this game serves as a beta to a non-staggerlock future multiplayer game that doesn't include the ridiculous Bomber Zap or Dragoon Spam.

Yeah, my ideal enemy would be hordes of guardians when I've got a piercing mod equipped on my harrier.

Yikes, that sucks. So much more needing to be done...

How about ban waves? Are those going the way of the Dodo too?

Thanks for the support you guys have given to the ccommunity. It had to end at some point.
I hope I can see the lessons learned put into action in future titles.

While not perfect you guys created a fun game that I think exceeded expectations by a huge margin.

Thanks for putting up with us for the past year, it was certainly more fun than the past year of "support" that we saw with TOR. Ya'll should trade notes with them. Aside from Origin issues and a few nitpicks, the game is more or less balanced and solid. The only thing we have to worry about now is the community leaving but that was always inevitable at some stage. Good thing many of us have met likeminded individuals and formed gamer groups that we can continue to play ME3 and other games with.

I only really disagreed with 3 of the balance changes. The Piranha's -2 ammo, the TGI's Stimpack, and EDI-bot's repair matrix. Okay, 4 with the Krysae.

But, it has been a hell of a fun year anyway. So, thanks for all you guys have done for multi-player. All those new kits, maps, weapons, mods, gears... I'm sure we'll all still be playing for a long time to come.

Sad news.

Many thanks to you and the team - you did a great job! I agree that the MP was a huge success. If you guys ever do a standalone ME MP title, I would definitely buy it :-)

Thanks for many hours of fun!

Will that see only one year of support too?

Very good point. Bioware should really have fixed the most glaring bugs, made a bunch of balance changes and only then bow out. Collectors anyone?

I am extremely disappointed that they have left with a good number of issues still intact... and even though some may argue we are lucky to get support at all, Why should we expect only minimal support for a game and anyone who expects more than a year of support for a game is just acting entitled. And yes I know we have gotten the DLC for "free", but Bioware has made the money back easily with micro-transactions and people buying SP DLC.

I might have enjoyed the MP for what it was, but I really expected at least some more fixes on problems before bowing out so suddenly...

Was hoping the Collector adept might get tweaked this week...

...ah well.

Still have many favourite characters and will play until I use up all of my useful equipment / ammo and can no longer stand being trolled with the garbage stuff.

There is entirely too much butt-kissing in this thread.
BW made many, many mistakes when it came to this game, SP and MP included. Many overpowered things are still overpowered, many underpowered things are still underpowered. And it really didn't seem like any of our threads pointing out these issues had any effect on what actually happened in the balance changes.

"There are many things we wish we had time to fix and improve, but as Jonathan Warner mentioned in Bioware’s blog post here, the team is moving on to new and exciting projects."

Bullcrap. You had plenty of time; many issues are months old. You either squandered it, or you were playing favorites with the balance changes.

Unfortunately I hate to pull the "Blame EA" card, but it was EA who decided that a very limited amount of people were needed for the MP team. EA also decided that even with all the micro-transaction and SP DLC money that we only deserved limited support for a year. Bioware did make their own mistakes, but this was due to keeping the game balanced in a way to promote paying for the packs with real money.

Letting micro-transaction systems influence the balance of the game is a very bad thing indeed.:pinched:

Yes you should hate blaming EA.  He does have a point they had more then enough time and resources to fix the problems the ME multi faced but they chose to waste it on silly frivelous changes in the most part. 1 year is more then long enough to create a full sized half descent game. Even with a limited team if they were half as talented as they boast they should have easily been able to fix the bugs.

Honestly having taken a full year to fix bad glitches like Collectors, rockets etc and it is EA's fault? They didn't even fix the problem it is here to stay. No again blaming it on EA everytime something goes wrong is the norm on forum but anybody can see that is far from the truth.

I only bought this game for the multiplayer. After 100s of premium packs without a single ultra rare the weekend events were the only thing that gave me anything. Is 1 year a normal shelf life for this and future multiplayers?

Thank you for all the great time I've had playing ME3 MP. No game ever got me hooked so hard as this one had.

It is amusing how the logical end of MP experience - my acquisition of BotB banner - happened at the same time as the MP support was ceased. I will still be playing the game from time to time, though =)

It's been a great run with this game, but next time, can you guys not wait until we expect a balance change to announce that they're over? I'm sure you'd already know that the previous balance change was the last one, so why not tell us as it was released?

This.
BW never listened to any of the legitimate requests. They only catered to the whiners and served their masters by trying to eliminate the missile glitch through a dedicated patch, while ignoring the blatantly visible bugs in the game that are here since months.
And on top of that they say they didn't have time. Are you kidding me? Tweaking a few values in the coalesced that would give a new life to a lot of weapons/powers that even a guy with half a brain could do in minutes, takes them 2 full weeks to do? And now they're sick of doing it?
Gawd it must be awful working there.

Edit: And hell are my dreams of having a super-spitfire and BPP and adas are shattered.

So can we officially get a reason why the Chakram Launcher wasn't added in MP?

I agree that I am disappointed to see multi-player support dropped.

I had reservations about buying ME3 because I am well aware how EA tends to poison good development studios, but I wanted to see how the story turned out after playing ME1 and 2. I've at least gotten decent value from it.

However, after seeing how issues were handled and prioritized in ME3 I can say with reasonable confidence that it will be the last Bioware product I will buy (baring remastering of classics). In my mind, the corruption from EA is now complete.

Good fortunes to you Bioware staff, you will continue without me.
