Why I'll be pre-ordering Dragon Age: Inquisition

I might pre-order if I manage to finish Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, Max Payne 3, Skyrim, Crysis 3, and Bioshock Infinite before Dragon Age 2 is released.

Similar situation here, but once the game is out I'll want to get through it close to its launch since I'll be avoiding the forums for spoilers. I'm sure there will be 'spoiler-free' boards but my faith in the bsn being able to contain itself over things such as romances and plot twists is very, very low. The epic 'poop storm' from the ME3 ending was impossible to avoid and I love going into these games blind.bmwcrazy wrote...

Lots of people complained about DA2, honestly I didn't have half as many problems with it as other people, I think it did make improvements on Origins in fact. The thing that disappointed me the most about DA2 was being forced to play human (do we have to be a human for this new one too?). I loved the origin stories in the first Dragon Age, that was a really neat idea and the only thing I really missed in DA2. DA2 still had amazing characters who really made me laugh and I even got to like Hawke despite her being an evil Shem (she won me over with her sarcastic remarks). So even if the new Dragon Age falls on its face with the plot and the combat and the continuity I'm confident it'll still have entertaining characters and will make me laugh. So it'll still be worth playing and replaying just maybe with a bit of complaining. So long as they bring back Kate Mulgrew its a win in my book.

You know what bugs me about fandom? They threw an EPIC fit over Mass Effect 3's ending (perhaps with good reason) and Dragon Age 2 (underwhelming) but all this talk about "being burned" it makes me wonder what exactly they think the alternatives are going to be when/if Bioware doesn't suceed.
Skyrim?
Kingdom of Alamaur? (Oh wait, they don't exist anumore)
NOBODY does games like Bioware does but Bioware.
The characters, the romance, the politics, and everything is awesome.
I'd probably stop playing video games altogether if I couldn't play in their space opera or fantasy worlds.
So I'm pre-ordering Dragon Age: Inquisition because even if it's not as good as DA:O, it'll still be better than 90% of what's out on the market.

Lol so you're handing your money over to a company cause you worship their name? Um, congrats I guess....Bioware isn't the same company anymore, their new games are objectively bad and by reading your other posts you don't even understand why people are disappointed.
There are people on this website who actually believe that Dragon Age 2 was a great game m8.

Why don't you learn what "objectively" actually mean? I suggest a sixth grade English class. If you hate Bioware so much, feel free to troll somewhere else on the web.I Like Cats And wrote...

You know you don't have to pre-order to get the game at full price right? Please tell me how waiting a week or two for peer reviews hurts anyone. If the game is good it'll still sell. If it's not and doesn't sell well, that's not the players' fault.

This is basically where I am, as well. My first Bioware game was Origins, and before that I had no idea a game could evoke quite that level of emotion. In all the years I'd dabbled in video games, not a single person had recommended a Bioware game to me (though I'd had enough of the Elder Scrolls and Final Fantast series to last a lifetime).Newschmoo wrote...
I am a bit of a latecomer to Bioware games and I have been completely sucked into the DA and ME worlds. There aren't that many games that have had that much of an impact on me or provoked emotion. Its the story and characters.
I have to admit that I did like DA2 (not as great at DAO but still good). I will be pre-ordering.
Now that I've played through them, I love Bioware's older games (I started with DA:O and worked backward), but I love their new stuff just as much. I don't think any game will ever be as good as Origins for me, but that's no one's fault; Origins was just that game that made me love video games, so I'm always going to look at it fondly.
So yeah, I agree with you; I liked DA2 (though not as much as Origins), and I'll definitely be pre-ordering.

If this is directed at me, my first response is I don't give a flying fig what you do with your money or preorders. It doesn't affect me at all. Do what you like.
I do care, however, about people being ****s to others for their opinions. My sarcasm was directed to needle imbs, who I see as acting like a jerk. Simple as that.

Do you still get the pre-order bonus if you pick it up weeks later? I did not know that was the case.

objectivity: judgment based on observable phenomena and uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices
The gameplay was dumbed down, there was no real plot, terrible dialogue paraphrasing (and terrible dialogue), inconsistensy in character traits, sloppy and rushed graphics, no choices that really matter, no choices from previous games that really matter, tons of filler quests, re-use of maps, etc. It looks like you who needs to learn what objectively means. Just cause you'll buy any Bioware game because it's a Bioware game doesn't make the game good. The fact you think I'm trolling shows how delusional you are. I don't hate Bioware at all, in their prime they've made some of my all-time favorite games: DA:O and KotOR for the most part. I just wished they stopped catering to casuals and CoD fanboys like you and returned to making the awesome deep RPGs like they used to. Nothing would make me happier than Bioware returning to form.

Could we please not insult individuals directly, and groups of people indirectly? Both are bad, and by their powers combined they're Captain Offensive.I Like Cats And wrote...

I love the Witcher but I can't really give the developers much credit there since they're adapting a novel series.
Same.
