no thats different. actual zombies would infect others imagine if your LI gets infected and you have to kill them

Technically, we also have ghouls already.
Although, the whole infectious thing could be interesting. But that's a bit like the ghouls we have, no?

no darkspawn are wizards that went bad and zombies are just mindless killer machines that will eat anything (including darkspawn) in thier path!
imagine a scenario where your PC has to choose between supporting wizards or templars of a local village and just before yo make the choice the village is attacked by a massive hoard!

In all honesty, that's basically what non-awakened darkspawn are like when there isn't a Blight going on.zombies are just mindless killer machines hat will eat anything (including darkspawn)
I'm pretty sure they even attack each other when there's nothing else to do.
EDIT: Okay, having a Zombie Alistair or Duncan come out from nowhere does put a smile on my face. I'll admit that much.

nah. They don't belong in this game. This isn't on of those zombie fps games.
who said anything about shooting? bringing zombies into the game would innovate the field - what other medieval Rpg DO you know of that has zombies?

We already got walking corpses. The zombie glot must end somewhere.
The line must be drawn here! This far, no farther!

A Dragon Age zombie outbreak?... Sure why not? Every other game has zombies now.

Don't need a Zombie Apocalypse in Dragon Age. The lore is fascinating as it is.
I get my Zombie fix from The Walking Dead.

wow all of you are so missing the potential in this. the implications of a zombie apocalypse will make wizards and templars temorarily drop thier weapons to fight for the survivor of humanity
No I get you, there's a zombie outbreak, and everyone is being infected. Only your character can stop the outbreak from overtaking Thedas. I get the feeling (correct me if I'm wrong), that something like this has been done before.
