 it would be prety cool if bioware decided to put zombies in the DA universe. first of, it would be very innovative, mixing RPG elements with a zombie appocalypse feel. it would also bring in many new fans thanks to the popularity of the zombies in media and other games eventho the main quest will be about templars and wizards maybe we can have many side quests with zombies. imagine darkspawn battling it out a with a horde of ghouls! and maybe our character will be facing a choice in the end - do we succumb to the taint and make all humans darkspawns or do we let zombies turn everyone to zombies? discuss

We've already got those walking corpses blokes, which are pretty similar enough to zombies that adding them might be a bit redundant.

Technically, we also have ghouls already.

Although, the whole infectious thing could be interesting. But that's a bit like the ghouls we have, no?

no darkspawn are wizards that went bad and zombies are just mindless killer machines that will eat anything (including darkspawn) in thier path! 

imagine a scenario where your PC has to choose between supporting wizards or templars of a local village and just before yo make the choice the village is attacked by a massive hoard!

with zombies bioware can bring many fan favorite characters back to life with out nit pickers whinning about the lore. imagine battling zombiefied maric and duncan with alister! or if your warden from DA 0 decided to be a tragic hero he comes back to life too maybe as squadmate

In all honesty, that's basically what non-awakened darkspawn are like when there isn't a Blight going on.

I'm pretty sure they even attack each other when there's nothing else to do.

EDIT: Okay, having a Zombie Alistair or Duncan come out from nowhere does put a smile on my face. I'll admit that much.

and then maybe in the very end when zombies and darkspawn are battling it out you find flemeth who can merge all zombies darkspawn and humans all together into one being if you (the inquisitor), your warden who is giving into taint and zombified hawk mix your blood.

who said anything about shooting? bringing zombies into the game would innovate the field - what other medieval Rpg DO you know of that has zombies?

Please god no. ^I'm pretty sure that several of the Infinity Engine games had zombies in them.

Was there a presidential order or something demanding that zombies be featured in every entertainment product in existence?

We already got walking corpses. The zombie glot must end somewhere.

A Dragon Age zombie outbreak?... Sure why not? Every other game has zombies now.

There has been undead in both games (more skeletons in DA2) 

Don't need a Zombie Apocalypse in Dragon Age. The lore is fascinating as it is.


I get my Zombie fix from The Walking Dead.

No I get you, there's a zombie outbreak, and everyone is being infected. Only your character can stop the outbreak from overtaking Thedas. I get the feeling (correct me if I'm wrong), that something like this has been done before.
