still got a manifest to fill out, not unlocked  all of the last batch of ultra rares yet, still need the best of the best banner just to say I did it, even if I am slow about it. plenty to do still.

I've always played the game for the enjoyment of it. Everything else, the banners, the weapons, character cards, they're all just additional enticement. If I get to a point where I'm not having a good time playing I'll quit, no matter what I've yet to unlock.

I'll go play ACIII or one of the other games I have that I haven't finished if I get too burned out. I'll move on when all my friends do.

I just need 10 more promotions until N7 mastery and best of the best. Then I'm done. Going to move on to Xcom, DMC, then tomb raider.

Edit: Now 8 more.

I really enjoy these "what is your carrot on a stick?" threads. It's like people never enjoyed MP in the first place and were playing just for the sake of maxed manifest or banners, torturing themselves on a daily basis, playing the game they don't like that much. And now it's all over BSN - *sniff* BioWare took away my carrot, what will I do now? This is game is dead now. I'm leaving. *sniff*

i play it far less than i used to but i like to put in 3 or 4 runs every night.
Still play SP and it's so nice to ignore Origin.

it would have been nice from BW to have one last farewell operation , something humorous or a bit nostalgic .. dunno , like reopening the small office in Glacier. ;p
or going back to the balance of early days, with Banshees being distracted by Drones, or being able to grab a Pyro...
reset the Krysae to its full glory .. just for laughs.

or Ester Eggs delivery objectives.

a special last operation with a "closure" message from the BW team would have been elegant.

I still play because it's still sort of fun. I don't know how much longer it will be, though.

I play because the game is still fun and challenging, specially on gold & platinum; my only complain is the lack of new maps. I think BW could've added some maps from the citadel dlc, but I guess they had their reasons no to do it.
As long as my friends play, I'll keep playing, and hoping BW reconsider their regrettable decison of suspending the weekend challenges, that took away a lot of fun :(

I just want a saber x so I can work on soloing gold with an AR specced justicar. I'm pretty sure ill keep playing until servers get super crappy and it takes forever to find a match.

I still play frequently some games from nineties, such Unreal Tournament 1999 and Quake 2/3 Arena. It's very common among PC players, play old games, like Diablo, Doom and Neverwinter Nights. Nowadays, still are released maps for games like Unreal Tournament 2004, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Warcraft 3, and so on, almost every week..

This multiplayer is one of my favorites, so I think I'll be playing this game until they shut down the servers, not everyday of course, but at least every weekend.

I'm staying until the end of the N7 Gauntlet, then I'll take a break and play something else for a bit. I'll probably get back to it though, I love ME3 MP :)

My playing time has been dropping gradually in the last few weeks, but from today I will take a break for a while, because I am picking up my pre-ordered Bioshock Infinite. However, since that is SP only, I will be done with it in limited time and be probably back to ME3 MP.

I don't expect ever to unlock another UR, but I plan to finish the Mass Effect challenge. So close now. Then I'll quit.

The game is still very enjoyable... It is a bit sad that there is no way to extend the game by community produced mods though, I think that this game has a very creative community... You never know what would happen... some of the community mods could be an absolute blast. Concerning mods and cheating I would like to remind everyone that games like Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 that are highly competitive have a million of mods... and it is done in such a way the the mods do not influence/harm the main game

No more balance changes, no more weekend challenges, no more patches. We can expect even bigger player exodus. Looks like MP is slowly but surely going to it's end. So is there something that still retains your interest in playing the game?

Friends? Maxed manifest? "Mass Effect" challenge?

I got into Multiplayer hard due to a friend.  Then I took a three month sabbatical during which a LOT happened in Multiplayer.  I missed a bajillion challenges and there are many tasks to complete in order to get Best of the Best (and I *want* Best of the Best--though I do not know if I will be prouder of it than of the Lone Wolf title).

But I will probably always play MP if it is available because of the Promote system and the connection to your war assets in single player even though I may never play through to the end again.  I play up to the final assault and begin anew as I want to avoid the frustration with the busty-bust-busted ending.

Because I can't find another bloody co-op that's anywhere near this.

Yeah -- that's it.  This co-op multiplayer just seems less isolating than all the time I've spent in single player.  Add this forum and it seems like a community.  Only other game I found this mix of community and socializing was a racing game (on PS3 -- Wipeout HD) and that's really dead now.
