We of the Pee-Cee Mustard Race demand deserve better!
ME3 Multiplayer has been an amazing experience<3

...despite it's glaring issues (not including numerous game-mechanic bugs). These are mostly PC related although some apply to console as well.

1.      FPS should NOT scale difficulty whatsoever.

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard of. I don’t know what engine the game runs on and if it’s an issue with
that or just bad coding. No two computers are alike and people with hardware limitations are given advantages they should not have. Apparently this is related to the engine their using and hopefully the next installment won't have this issue.

2.      Needs moar OPTIONS.

There are virtually no options under “Graphics” (which would help people with poor hardware achieve higher
frame-rates). There is no way to edit FOV in-game and you have to change game files (which is ridiculous we have to do that). There are a few edits you can do in ME3 configuration utility and some third-party software, but it's still pretty lackluster. I haven't played the other two Mass Effect games on PC, but I assume they are much the same. Bordlerlands 1 was a notoriously bad PC port and they completely turned around Borderlands 2.
Here's what Borderlands 2 PC options look like

3.      No One Button To Rule Them All.

Maybe they were trying to make it “fair” for console players who had all the functions on one button as well. But even on console there were two unused buttons (RS and LS) that could have been mapped to use, cover, sprint, or dodge. Having one buttons do all these things on PC is ridiculous and again, we have to edit game files to fix it.

4.      Text chat.

I’ve never heard of a game for PC that has voice-chat only. For me it’s not a big issue, but I know a lot of people don’t have quality mics or just don’t want to talk for whatever reason.

5.      In-game mute

I don’t like turning off my volume in-game so I don’t have to listen to someone breathe in my ear. If the next installment has text chat there should be an option to "mute" someone's text as well.

6.      More cheating protection.

I don’t know a lot on the subject, but I do know this game is relatively easy to “hack” compared to most games I’ve played. Maybe the game should error-check coalesced.bin on start-up or something, but it’s ridiculous that there isn’t more protection in place.

7.      Talon keybinding/thermal clip bug

Obviously they just need real playtesters outside of Bioware and that could have been avoided. Once again to be able to play the character as intended you need third-party software or have to edit game files.

8.       Throw Origin out the Airlock

It's been two years and despite their resources, the rEApers have failed to produce a functional game client.

9.       Add controller support

For those who wish to use a controller they should be able to. (not sure why, but some like it more than Mouse+keyboard)

CONSOLE PROBLEMS:

Auto-aim should be able to be toggled on/off

A player should be able to turn and sprint at the same time if they are physically able to do so.
Behold, the claw!

These are relatively simple things that could be improved for the next game. If you have more suggestions write them below
:kissing:
(formatting is terrible because I wrote it in Word)

Steam.

/thread

But in all seriousness, those seem like fair things. Though the FPS difficulty scaling is a problem with the game engine no? Hopefully Frostbite 2 won't be so bad as whatever they're using now (Unreal?).

Console players want better choices into their character looks as well.

Furthermore, PC and the console versions should be balanced differently. PC players could easily have another power due to the absence of anything being hotkeyed to number 4. To compensate, PC players should have to face a LOT more enemies during the game. See: the "Enemies Everywhere!" thread.

We are changing engine bro.

Also, text chat should be in lobby, i guess i won't have time to write while killing stuff.

You know, speaking of the FPS scaling difficulty: I thought there was a way to enable V-Sync in the display options. My monitor's refresh rate is only 60hz, so that would lock my frame rate to 60. I can't find it. Was I dreaming?

I can go for this.

Though EA wants to push Origin, so I doubt if we'll be getting it on Steam.

Yes, which is unfornate. I just wish at the very least they would release it on both, I think they would get a lot more sales out of Steam anyways.

It runs on Unreal Engine 3 (same as Mass Effect 2). I'll take a wild guess and say they'll use Unreal Engine 4 for the next game.

This is an FYI on the graphics stuff - take it for what it's worth.

If you have the app, i believe it's the nVidia Control Panel - or maybe the nVidia Inspector - you can override practically every single graphic option in the game - I'm not sure what I have mine at - but there are some fairly insane settings - I think the game defaults to 4 or 8x anti aliasing and I am running at 16X - and the sampling passes - I think I am at 32X w/ transparency.

Since I am running a triple monitor system (two geforce 680s in SLI) I also use WideScreen Fixer which allows you to adjust FOV - I think I have mine set to something like 190 so even my Krogan Warlord doesn't take up an ungodly amount of screen.

As for the requests for ME4 - I would go further. I realize resources are limited and they get bang out of coding for one system - but I would like to see something along the lines of a 'somewhat' random map generator - and say - while a Xbox 720 might render a 1/4 square mile map - PC might do so at 1/2 or 1/3 square mile - allowing a larger map to be populated with more enemies and thus - MORE PLAYERS.... that would rock.

It's actually going to use the Frostbite Engine that Battlefield 3 runs on.

In-game mute would be appreciated.

Another idea, an option to block people from joining your game if you're playing solo. Yes, I know you can go invisible. But it'd be nice if you didn't have to.

Yes please. With such a successful coop multiplayer, which I thoroughly enjoy, moreso than any other game really, they should make basic changes like this. That would send this multiplayer to an entirely new level.

Another thing from that video in the OP on Borderlands 2 was LAN. Not being locked into using some crappy servers when you just want to sit down and play with some friends would be great. I've wanted this basic (outdated, whatever) feature in so many games, but it seems that servers are becoming mandatory these days, which also ruins future playability of a lot of games once the servers go offline.

Please BW, we would love you so much more for these fixes. :D

You do realize that all ME3's servers do is the lobby right? once the game starts - the person who started the lobby becomes the host server.  just sayin...

Yeah, I posted here social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/16386620/2#16391005 about the possibility of creating our own servers or enabling LAN.  I realize that the servers are used for very little overall, but how hard would it be to remove them from the equation?

Agreed.
Next ME game, and future Bioware titles need native PC support.
Not a console to PC port.

Borderlands 2 got it right by designing the game to take full advantage of modern PC's
As soon as it finishes downloading, I'm looking forward to Bioshock: Infinite, and I expect the same.

Hmm, I wasnt aware you could do that. I'll look into this nVidia Control Panel/Inspector.

when you don't have "support for dedicated servers" on your list of demands for PC, you're doing it wrong.

L4D utilized both dedicated servers and peer-2-peer match hosting and it worked beautifully.

Sorry, I haven't been to the forums for quite some time, but I have to ask.

Are you new here?

When was the last time you saw them making changes to the game other than the herpderp stats change every week?

edit: I just saw that they aren't even doing those anymore, so they basically just effed off.

Do you honestly believe anyone from bioware will :

1)read this
2)pay attention
3)do something about it

???

Yes, please. Auto-aim makes quick scope head shots virtually impossible.

Pretty much this. I can't see them making the game too different than the console versions. At least the next ME game will be on next gen consoles; the quality of your console port will be slightly better.

If ME4 isn't a horribly done console port I'll be happy
