Avatars/Profile pics : Let's start over!

 Hi there !

Here is my issue : since I am on BSN, I found that only one think is neglected : avatars/profile pictures.

I won't talk about the restriction of not using any off-site avatars. I won't complain about it because I understand the motivations.

BUT : the pictures in the galleries are, sadly, not suitable for a website like this one.

The main problem is : frame. You have rectangle framed and square framed images. BUT, BSN only show square frame. So in some case the website stretch the image (ugly) and in other cases, the image crop it. (lost of the main part of the image...) 

It would be easier to format them ALL in square frame, so every image would be adapted to BSN.

And talking about normalization, you could also imagine to chose a resolution and stick to it. The "general user gallery" portraits, for exemple, has a lot of low rez, resulting of pixelized images.


This is just a suggestion and I would like the opinion of bsners and moderation/staff about that. 

Of course, if I go too far with that kind of post, feel free to slap me around a bit with a large trout.
