To me the narrator isn't Duncan it sounds like Radion.

Do you mean in DAO or in the trailer for the expansion?

Watch:

Now time to get to the point. This trailer in awakening likes to reveal alot of things. One at 2 points in the trailer it shows Ogrhen with you, but everyone already new that tid bit of information. But im going to state somthing i think ALOT of people missed.

At the three points i have shown you it shows three things, Biowares character killing the archdemon ( by biowares character i mean the character they made for the trailers), a fuzzy screen with some mage freak guy, Biowares character running around in awakening, and some other mage talking about the dead watching her take over the mortals.

If you take all that information you come to one conclusion, Your character can come back from the dead. Yep, thats right.... soak it in. now alot of people are saying if your character died you play as an orlesian grey warden commander. But from that facts i have gathered it looks like you have a choice, play as your old character (even if they died) or the orlesian.

If others have already figuered this out sorry, just thought i should point it out, thanks for reading.

Wtf your concussions ... it's like saying because I killed Alistair then ZOMG ALISTAIR IS A ZOMBIE...if the warden sacrifices himself then it's a new warden sent from Orlais.

The conclusions I could get are that:

1.- There's a Grey Warden with the ability to do the joining ritual
2.- The fade demons are appearing in the "real" world as they appear in the Veil (Look for the Pride demon)
3.- PC is the commander of the grey wardens, so maybe if you choose to travel at the end of the game you are brought back to your duties one way or another (as Riordan puts it)
4.- Darkspawn must be related directly to the Fade because there's this weird guy saying "You don't know nothing about darkspawns"
5.- I can conclude (especulate) that Arch demons are closely related then to demons and the black city (no theology plz, I think Andraste was a very powerful mage -yes, like the book in the search for the true prophet- and there is no Maker -just as the rage demon tell us when Leliana makes an exclamation I-don't-remember-when.

P.S.: And I say "real" because as you can remember the Veil, the division between the Fade and our world, is merely methodological because it can not be touched or seen; the Fade is like a pure consciousness state where the vital force manifested as the willpower of the own mind can transform reality, proof of that is shapeshifting in the fade...
Now as you remember there is shapeshifting in our world but it's a little more difficult, that's because our preconceptions bind us to the mere immediate sensations... just remember Morrigan's talk about shapeshifting.
Now, the thing of the weakening of the Veil is a strange concept... maybe has to do with the thing of to many bodies dying and to much souls (I'm not so sure if this theological concept is a reality in this game, but I'm sure that Andraste isn't) "passing" at the same time in violent ways to the fade.

P.S.2: I don't think it's over speculation, I know of at least 1 writer that has a philosophy degree, and I perceived that before while reading somethings on the Codex and by listening to Sten and Morrigan. (That was in the first place why I searched for writer's information)

1. Well yea there is a Grey Warden that knows the ritual...There are Grey Wardens in Orlais still only the ones in Ferelden were wiped out aside from the two left. =)

My speculations are that the beginning of the trailer has the underling of the Architect talking to possibly Duncan since we never find his body. And that the Architect foretold what was going to happen with the Blight. It sort of makes me think he started the Blight to prove he could do it if he felt like it. He wanted the Grey Wardens' attention and now he's got it.

Thanks :D But do you think I'm not losing any important details? I hope someone makes a resume of every chapter :(

How many pages has each book? Maybe if they are short I could dedicate 1 day to read them.

It's not too long roughly 400 pages. I read it in a day.

Both of them 400? Then it would be... 800 T_T... And I have so much to read... ffffff- I still haven't finished not even 1 introduction of Kant's Critic, and I should be finishing it by now >_>

They are really fast reads though. I seriously finished both books in two days - one day for each. I pretty much read the last Harry Potter in that much time as well. Once you get into the story it's hard to put the book down I kid you not.

Well... it has been long since I haven't read a novel, maybe it's going to be good for my brain. Now the thing is buying it... I live in Chile xD!

The developers have explained that, very sensibly, it would of course just be confusing if they had to make a trailer that covered all the possible ways the next game can start. In the trailer Alistair is alive and King, in other games he can be dead. In some saves your original character survived and gets imported into the next game, and in some plays your original character is dead, so you get to play a replacement orlesian knight. Just because the trailer just shows one of the possible ways it can begin, doesn't mean it is more "canon" than another.

So, if you're dead then you're dead. If you lived then you're alive, simple as that.

My rage will be great if you come back from the dead. It would cheapen the sacrifice ending to nothing and make Morrigan's ritual pointless. However I would think BioWare agree with this and would not do such a thing.

This. The sacrifice is fully optional.

I was also thinking that as well some of the talking sounding like Patrick Stewart as well. It would be so awesome if it was true. Damn that man has one hell of a sexy voice. (((mmmm)))

Maybe it´s because of sex. I read a theory recently that everything comes down to sex, or death. Or both.

I don't want to speculate too much and get my hopes up, but...

I read the novels and I will say this -- the OP has a good point. I'm not sure if it's true your Warden can come back from the dead (I doubt it) but the Architect's magic can do interesting things when powered by the taint. And, as a Grey Warden, you obviously have the taint running through your veins, so... MAYBE he COULD bring Duncan/Hero back from the dead? MAYBE...
