Juggernaut. I thought it was just a big slow weapon that would need constant support to stay alive. But I do pretty well with it.

The point is that cryo blast is quite a different power from snap freeze, as similar as they might look. Spec it for debuff and it grants you a whopping 25% damage increase. Plus, it has such a short CD that taking a claymore lets you spam it without problems. Even if you don't like the claymore on her, a strong gun is what's needed to unlock this kit's potential - harrier, lancer, wraith, they're all good choices. Cryo blast also staggers enemies, even shielded ones, which can save your life sometimes.

What you do is basically cryo blast, shoot the claymore with incendiary ammo, the incinerate and watch things go boom. Rinse and repeat. Depending on your build choices, you might want to use the turret from time to time and be very careful about not taking fire (if you go no fitness like I do). Geth Scanner works awesomely for that.

Cryo blast + claymore + incinerate + claymore will kill a Gold Brute. Not many classes have that sort of firepower against armor.

Some guy dropped into a lobby I was in a few days ago playing the FQE this exact same way and made me and whoever else was in the lobby look like noobs. Although to be fair I was playing a Paladin, and I'm a terrible Paladin. I'm too busy trying to bash everything with my shield rather than being an efficient killer.

Haha I know what you mean. I'm approaching a group of bad guys. So, let's see what protection they have, so that I can decide what kind of combo to put on... Well, shield... Health... Armor... So maybe if I use snap +freeze + ED...

That's what happens usually when I play the Paladin.

Oh and that was quite weird, as I've seen so few people playing the FQE like that. Sure he wasn't Fortack? Cause he has that habit of making good players look like noobs...

If he wasn't then good to see the Claymoar Way is spreading!

Turian Sentinel. At first, the lack of dodge bugged me, and I didn't use him for a long time. Then I picked up a Falcon X, and tried him again. What a debuff monster, and the best (for me) crowd control. Now that I know how to play him a little better, he rarely gets knocked down (except for Collectors, damn seeker swarms, and those bloody Scions)

Krogan Shaman - it took a few respecs before I got a Shockwave-pseudo-hatesurfer thing going. Now I love him much more more than trying to be a tanky human adept or attempting to do BEs.

Asari Valkyrie - I couldn't see how she'd compete with the Fury, but after a bit I got the hang of tanky-mobile-close quarter fighter with her and she's now one of my go-to platinum kits.

Volus Vanguard - I always wanted to like him but it was only after the BatGlove came out that he really shined. Basically he's invalidated all the batarians for me. PAYDAY!

1) N7 Fury. When the N7s were announced, I thought I'd be playing the Shadow nonstop, heck I barely played Biotics (and definitly not Adepts), but the way she can run across a battlefield, choosing who to engage and blowing them up, running past countless husks/cannibals and killing them without lifting a finger, and my gods, being able to steal shield was the best. Idea. Ever.

2) Batguard, need I say more?

3) Ex-Cerberus. They are awesome, and blur the line between tech and biotics.

4) Talon Merc. This guy is awesome. A non-gun character that can wipe the floor with any faction (depending on how you spec him, I dont use concussion arrows so I admit I'm weaker v Collectors). The mines, everything, just pure awesome. Also, it's Zaeed, and not sure if a tribute to Robin Sachs, but even if not his awesomeness cannot be contained.

1. Turian Ghost Infiltrator - I disliked the starting Turians immensely. Lack of dodge was brutal, and I never cared for their power-setup. Then I unlocked the Havoc, and immediately was disappointed by the pseudo-Vanguard. When I found out the TGI used ARs, I was even more dismissive. But after using it a good bit, especially with PPR and things like the Saber, it became one of my go-to classes for playing a match quickly and effectively.

2. Novaguard. I never played Vanguards in the entire series, and I didn't want to. When the demo came out, all my friends spammed Novaguards while I played the Human Sentinel, Asari Adept, and Salarian Infiltrator. But I ended up trying it out while maxing my demo classes, and proceeded to use it for a long time. I played Novaguard after release for a very long time, only stopping when I permanently upgraded to Gold matches.

Volus Vanguard. Absolutely a blast to play, even on platinum I'm not too far behind. I hated it day one, but my love for vanguards made me give it another go, and he's a joy. I surprise people too actually being a good Volus.

Volus adept. Cloak - stasis - Reegar is the best and safest phantom killer there is.

Asari Vanguard - had an epiphany when studying the skill tree and specced out of stasis.

N7 Shadow - taught me how to use TC not only for damage boost.

Not a character, but: Ammo consumables - they can make a huge difference

Completely agreed. Was actually just discussing this with friends last night, as I completed my final Demolisher extraction for Earth Mastery and proceeded to lob 10 arc grenades at All The Things during extraction... then popped a thermal clip and lobbed 10 more. For the hell of it.

Overkill? Yeah. Score-ho'ing? Not the intention. Sometimes, things just need to die in the most ridiculous manner possible.

At first, the Collector seemed underwhelming as hell, and I though Dark Sphere was a **** skill. Don't know what changed, but I love him now.

The first time I played the Slayer, I was on Silver, and I sucked so hard (yes, even on Silver) that I actually deserved the vote kick after the match. Now he's absolutely top-tier for me if I'm hosting.

Me suprised few kits.

1: Vorcha. Well i didin't notice that we someday can play as that wait, what Aria named Vorcha? Ach right! GOBLINS!

2: Ex Cerberus Vanguard & Adept. I know, they are some defectors from Cerberus, but as playable characters? Looks nice.

3: Volus. Seriously! After the Retaliation release, i played Volus. Is very nice, but not for me definitly.

4: Batarians. Because they are not many, to fight.

For the past couple of months i've been playing Drell Adept like crazy. I always found them too squishy in the past and my evolutions on clusters were all wrong. I think i'd given up on clusters. They definitely have the biggest learning curve of all the grenades when it comes to how you spec them, aiming and timing them… especially when using them at long distances. Suddenly it all clicked. Grenade gear v and pistol power amp v i'm in heaven.

Now whenever I play the justicar, the batdept or the drellguard I miss him like crazy. Reave without clusters just feels horribly wrong. Being dependant on other biotics, farting about with that damn bubble, or having to make do with warp instead and swapping pull with an inferior power - it boggles the mind… why would you do it?
