I remember finishing the Single Player as an Infiltrator so the first character I made was a Human Male Infiltrator. Mantis I and Predator I with an N7 of 1 I joined a bronze lobby, and was promptly kicked.

My friends and I played for hours without ever beating wave 3 and wondering why we werent getting credits for packs.

the one i'm gonna start with is a funny story i remember, i went into a PUG gold game and i was an infiltrator (yes i was a noob) with 2 more and 1 soldier. the other to Infils were french and was telling the soldier he had to change cause "soldiers weren't good enough for gold" and he dind't want to change. i was syaing who cares let him play what he wants (we all had mics BTW) and the 2 french guys starting speaking french to each other and then said in english atht we are stupid stubborn americans who are sheep and do what our governemnt says etc etc and refused to ready up and even tried to get me to kick the soldier which i refused which led to more flaming about us dirty stubborn americans. after about 2 minutes of this i said f this lobby and i left and started another and invited the soldier. got 2 more randoms and did fine passing the gold. so mine is...

"Remember the days when soldiers would get kicked from gold becuase they weren't good enough and you needed an infiltrator for it"

French players on the mic and you didn't bother to point out their afinity for the word RETREAT. lol

I remember receiving the Hurricane in my first commendation pack
and thinking it was the worst weapon in the game. Prior to have stability mods
and gear I found it nearly impossible to even aim the thing

.I would resort to using an Asari with Stasis and then running up to
 the frozen enemies and unloading on them at point blank range.

I remember the days when the best pack to buy was a spectre pack as it was the only one permanently on the store and PSP's used to come around on weekends and events.

I still remember playing silver and thinking, damn this is hard. How can anyone do gold. And also thinking when I completed silver that I got 30k and thought WOW another game and I can get a spectre pack.

Oh how I laugh now at getting 120k for a Plat game that takes 20 mins when a silver game used to take 30 mins...

I remember playing bronze early on, with low level weapons, trying to figure out the enemy units, and wondering when and if I would ever make it to Gold. It seemed pretty difficult back then. I suppose them Geth keep it, ummm, interesting.

i remember farming on FBWGG PRE-White map change. that was back when i first started playing Gold.

heck, i remember WIPING on Bronze when i first started.

I remember also, when i get the recruitment pack before the first game. I get from this pack M-12 Locust and Asari Adept. Must say i have in this day luck, get both silver cards from recruitment pack.

I remember also, how many games finished at wave 5 - 9 far before the Retaliation release.

Also i remember the legendary room from Glaicer, where people camped and deal with enemies. ^^

One of my fondest memories was when I used to fear the Atlas. This was way back during the demo. It was just my brother and I playing private matches. We finally survived enough waves for it to show up. Armed with only mark I weapons and no weapon mods, it was a walking death machine. We would treat it with the same reverence and fear as that of the Battletech Atlas.

To think, it is now one of my favorite chew toys.

This time last year: Salarian Infiltrator + Widow II or Asari Adept + Carnifex I were the only classes that could survive on Gold.

One guy had a Widow VIII - rest of lobby "Daaaaamn son!"

I remember there was this one challenge in like the first month or so where you had to extract from Reapers on Silver and everyone was failing at it, including me - my team only passed by a lucky stroke. Now everyone can solo Gold, and I have moved on to other games, but yeah - that was definitely a while ago...
