There is a short Battlefield 4 trailer, and 17 minutes worth of gameplay for it.

Yeah, it looks great. But it's SP. And this = I don't care and a wait and see attitude. Plus, there is no way. NO WAY. that current gen consoles will be able to even run this game. They barely could run BF3. And BF4 looks like a major step up. So...... Yeah. Just wait for MP gameplay at E3. And they better have a playable demo of the console versions. But it does look visually ground breaking. I mean those visuals are truly photo realistic.

That music sucks ass.

Also seems like the same overly scripted Movie game **** as the last one, trying to be COD.

I watched the demo. Just as boring as the previous game. When will Dice learn that nobody cares about SP in their games?

All I want from DICE is Battlefield 2143.

BF is too close to CoD. If I were to play any modern military shooter, it would be Arma 3. (but I doubt my PC could handle it anyway)

So we (BSN) love to complain about MP, but when an FPS actually goes out of its way to show single-player content and tries to encourage it, we blow them off? Really?

Meh, I've enjoyed the single player campaigns in BFBC2 and BF3.

BF4 looks about the same as BF3. Knowing EA's business practices, I will NOT buy this when it releases. I'll wait a year for all the DLC and premium garbage to peter out and then possibly buy it all bundled for a much cheaper price.

Fooled me once with BF3, EA, shame on you.

I'd kill for a Battlefield 1944.

Or even another attempt at Battlefield Vietnam, since BC:V was pretty good.

The real problem with BF3's single player is not that it exists, but that it sucks ass. The multiplayer is huge scale combat on a large battlefield with a focus on vehicle combat, and the single player is you walking through corridors and going through a quick time event every minute. It's really bad design.

Yup, that looks pretty. DICE sure can make some technically proficient graphics.

Beyond that, meh. Still the same modern warfare setting, still shooting Russians or assorted terrorists, still have "F to chop off leg!"... The actual gameplay doesn't look very engaging or very fresh. It seems like a very fancy coat of paint on the same style of scripted explosion fest that every Call of Duty game has become.

Honestly, I wish they'd stop trying to ape CoD and do something different with their single player. Do something that evokes the wide open nature of the MP. Do something more risky from narrative sense like Spec Ops.

Yup. A non Modern Warfare setting with Frostbite 3 would have made me WAY more interested than I currently am. I'd love to see a historical BF1944 or something. Or Vietnam or Korea or even a 2142 sequel. I am more burned out on modern warfare games than I ever was WW2 games.

Will I have to unlock everything I've already unlocked for the same weapons I wonder? Also, agreed about a BF1944 or BF:V2 or 2143.

BF3's campaign was abysmal, and that is not hyperbole. How anyone could possibly enjoy that trash is beyond me. I'm all for great graphics and presentation in games, but gameplay must come first. BF4 looks just as bad as the previous entry in that area.

I'm still waiting for a new Rainbow Six. I hope Ubisoft doesn't pull a DICE and decide to turn it into Call of Duty. But if they do, I'll always have Raven Shield to fall back on. Posted Image

Get ready to fall back on Raven Shield then.  The R6 games have been **** since Raven Shield.  What makes you think UBI will go back to making true tactical shooters that appeal to less amounts of ppl ?

Is that my problem or yours?

Since I seriously I can't understand what your motivation is for telling me something like that, I have to ask: what point do you have by telling me that?

The single player in BC2 was pretty bad by the FPS standards. Like really bad.

BF3 was a much better. I found it more enjoyable it but it was still a far cry from a modern Call of Duty game.

Then again, I never bought a DICE game for its single player content. It's always about the multiplayer.

oh yeah, I totally agree. I miss BFBC so much. No one playes it anymore. Kinda sad, cause it's better than BF3. I've stated before that BF3 is just one long Beta for EA buisness practices and new ideas for BF from dice- themed DLC, BF premium, suppression, totally custon loadouts. I feel that BF4 will hopefully. Hopefully. deliver on all the promises of BF3
