It's likely going to deliver even more DLC, microtransactions, fragmented gaming experiences depending on the level you've bought into, etc. I'm not excited by that prospect.NeonFlux117 wrote...

oh yeah, I totally agree. I miss BFBC so much. No one playes it anymore. Kinda sad, cause it's better than BF3. I've stated before that BF3 is just one long Beta for EA buisness practices and new ideas for BF from dice- themed DLC, BF premium, suppression, totally custon loadouts. I feel that BF4 will hopefully. Hopefully. deliver on all the promises of BF3

That's what it seems like.
It will eventually get a million different DLCs and expansion packs like Battlefield 3. Maybe players should wait for a few months later for the "shortcut" DLC that unlocks all weapons and upgrades. Haha.

yeah that's why I'm not overly excited as I was for BF3. Which in my opinion failed to deliver on many levels, especially for us inferior console guys, so I interested and curios to what BF4 will be. But I'm not overly excited. It's a new battlefield game and hopefully on next gen, those two things got me excited but I'm realistically optimistic.

Because I don't understand how you could enjoy the Bad Company games and still enjoy BF3. You're also the first person I've seen that actually liked the campaign.Allan Schumacher wrote...
BF3's campaign was abysmal, and that is not hyperbole. How anyone could possibly enjoy that trash is beyond me.
Is that my problem or yours?
Since I seriously I can't understand what your motivation is for telling me something like that, I have to ask: what point do you have by telling me that?

I enjoyed BF3 campaign, but of course the mplayer was worth the price of admission alone.

Anyway .. This 17 min demo was epic. I can't wait .
epic??? I don't know about that, but it was pretty to see in motion. Again it was really bland and boring for me. It's single player in a battfield game. I put about as much stock in that as asking a female tennis player about blocking a zone blitz as a left tackle. It doesn't matter. The only thing that drive's BF is the MP. So dice better deliver. And that means for everybody, not just the pc crowd. Hopefully they will.

Make that three.
I was pleasantly disappointed that the MP FPS genre's reputation for abyssmal SP campaigns did not hold true. It is a fun enough SP and with the game being by FAR the most hardware hungry game I have ever owned (seriously, R.U.S.E. has up to then been the single most hungry game I had played) the SP campaign was definately worth the eye candy for me.
And whilst I have never played any FPS beforehand, the MP turned out quite enjoyable too. I even got good enough for people from my own team to deliberately grief me on my very first FPS MP game.
I am in fact looking forward to playing Bf4 (3.5) someday, maybe even get it at launch day with Premium.
Have to say one thing though:
The current EA marketing of the Origin Digital Deluxe edition is nothing short of a scam with its suggestive wording. I will wait for other editions to be available for pre-ordering, preferably one that comes boundled with the full premium service, or only get the base game.

So, what's the problem?
I heard all of it how FPS games have ****ty SP. Played it, was enjoyable enough. No replay value of course, but still some nice couple hours.
If you feel the campaign was a letdown for you, that's your prerogative. I found it amusing. To each their own opinion.

Where did you hear that? That's not true at all.
We're just talking about the single player campaigns in Battlefield games have never been as good as other AAA FPS titles. Well...except for Battlefield 3, that was acceptable by my standards.

You know the hyperbole people throw around. That kind of talk. Great MP, neglected SP, clichée stories, horrible storytelling, railroading, blank shooter alleys etc.

Not my problem though, I enjoy a good military story, and I can't really understand why so many people feel that dismissing a game for it's genre is ever a good thing. This game is a military shooter, military shooters often have plots that are similar to movies. Saying that a game is bad because it's plot is similar to a military film doesn't really seem like a good criticism at all.
It'd be like complaining that dragon age has too much fantasy in it, or mass effect is too sci-fi, or game of thrones is too medievil. That's kind of the point of the genre.

BC2 still has the best modern military shooter SP campaign this console generation.
In most respects the BC2 campaign was better than the original, but I regret that it lost some of the humor aspect.

It's like a breeze of political xenophobia, does anyone know if someone at Activision has political gains in this story ? we need more FPS games like this Chinese FPS.
