The point about wiping Prime Drones and Turrets - you can do that with 3 points in Slash as-well. Range is 20 meters as-well to match the Geth scanner.
Detonating Biotic Explosions is actually faster with Charge than Biotic Slash then proceed with PD.
The first point, I agree with.
The second point... how do you figure that? Charge will only detonate 1 BE every 3 seconds... Slash can detonate up to 3 BE's every 3 seconds. Since Phase Disruptor doesn't detonate BE's... you comment make no sense to me buddy.
Low level mooks will die faster with just a Charge and PD than BS. Plus you're invicible in Charge, while you're very vulnerable in BS, unless you're doing it behind walls. Well in that case I'll just play a Javelin GI
Why not have the option to do both? Especially considering what you'd be sacrificing for the option (not much IMO)

200 health and shields. That's 400 in total. Quite a bit. A whole Marauder burst, before reaching your shieldgate.

Only scrub n00b kids spec into biotic/electric slash
Speccing into it and having it as an option is not bad. But I see very little point in maxing it out.

Like speccing into multi-charge when using almost exclusively phase disruptor?

Looking at Narida's calc, heavy barrel and pistol amp with power passives without the 10% weapons damage will let the Acolyte do 3913.88 damage to barriers. Platinum Phantoms have 3997.5 barriers.

Don't forget about the DR post charge that makes that even better.
825 shields and 35.5% DR = 1117 effective shields, which reaches the benchmark to take pretty much any hit and still have shields.
35.5% is what 50% DR is actually giving you, although I'm sure you know this

Haha. That's the trick.
Answer yourself - how many times do you actually use all 5 PD's in a row? I do it rarely. I Charge and 1-2 PD's is more than enough to kill a regular mook. Having another Charge or 2 or 3 ready is just an added bonus for more invinciframes, more stagger, more AOE and more PD.

Mega, would you consider going 66660 a viable choice as well? For Platinum, getting that extra 10% weapons damage pushes the Acolyte to be able to one-shot Phantom barriers.

Sure... that would work.
It's not like there's much difference between 500, 625, 700 or 825.... especially when you're depleting your shields all the time anyway.

Well you're a stationary (or barely moving) target for quite a bit of time then.

Joking aside, the only reason I ever spec out of BS is because it's too tempting to just spam through the wall the whole game lol. Brings me back to old days when I was a FBW/G slash spammer.
I like the build though. I pretty much used to run the same setup minus slash. People would always kick me if I slashed more than 10 times the whole game.

It's not a problem from a distance... before charging in. Great way to soften a group (think Condor Pipes spawn, when you're on top of the mountain pass area).

Maybe on PC... but on Ecks Bawks... I don't see too much difference. The only enemies that can punish me for it are Marauders and Collector Captains. Prioritize these targets.
We've had this conversation before... we just have different opinions, and that's fine

one consistent theme I find in some of the most excellent players is their willingness to make their kits as diverse as possible, emphasizing strengths, while downplaying their weaknesses. That means being able to play with a vast array of guns, styles, and thoughtfulness of choosing the right powers and knowing when to use them.
Good Job Mega. Your comments for Biotic Slash remind me of my comments for Electric Slash, and they are quite similar... unfortunately the Tech Combo is bugged *sigh* and isn't as powerful as it could be
Edit: I believe you were one of the first people to take my "bonus charge batarian brawler" into consideration as a thought, back when he was introduced. I introduced the concept later, at a much higher degree of acceptance after time had passed, but i won't forget the people who knew a good argument/novel idea when they saw it.
Lulz, i remember people calling me a moron for choosing bonus power for Biotic Charge... Nubs
