I never use light melee as a damage dealer if that's what you assumed. I said light melee because it'll allow you to play and deal damage much more aggressively and effectively. Which is why I included my last point, that all charging PD slayers should be the host.
Do enlighten me if you will, at what circumstances are the acolyte, PD, charge, light melee, hurricane, not good enough to be the answer?
It's situational enough to be situationally useful. It is very common among my friends to play all Biotic squads. Team synergy is fun. Not getting the Space Herpes is also very nice.
I never use the light melee... I don't need it. Why tank in the middle of a mob, when I can just kill the mob outright? It's a nice tool to use in emergencies, but it's somthing I very rarely feel the need to employ. The only time I would say I really need it... is if I made a mistake and let something get behind me. Geth Scanner prevents this (b/c I don't charge past enemies anymore).

WHY DO YOU THINK THE BUILD IS ALL ABOUT SLASH SPAM!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR BSN TO DIGEST!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Maybe all caps will help:
PHASE DISRUPTOR AND BIOTIC CHARGE IS STILL THE MAIN SOURCE OF OFFENSE!!! 200 POINTS OF HEALTH/SHIELDS AND 10% ACOLYTE DAMAGE IS NOTHING IN THE GREATER SCHEME OF THINGS!!!!

With a full biotic team, that has a good aoe primer power, with enemies all caught up in a cluster, preferably in a smaller map, and your biotic slash hitting them in a straight line.megabeast37215 wrote...

Not very likely to be honest.
"Killing the mob outright" also works better with PD and charge than slash.
And again I'm not saying youre a slash spamming scrub, I said in the first reply I made to this thread the build should maximize on the potential and synergy on the acolyte and PD. Speccing into slash and employing it in the game is straying from it.
Why light melee? Again explained in my last reply, and the reply before that. Which I hope I do not need to repeat again.
To PD and charge more often and effectively. You honestly dont need to. It's just better overall.
I havent weight into the shields youre missing or the recharge speed because that's the least of my concern. My concern is even employing the sluggish situational power call slash in game. When his other tools proves to be much more superior.
These are the points why I cannot agree with you. Since you crowned a BS build the "best build" on the slayer.

You're confusing the arguments... I'm starting to think you're trolling. Killing the mob outright was referring to you praising the light melee... and had nothing to do with Slash. This is in the above quotes.
How often does the enemies line up so I can BE them? Well... quite often actually. Geth Scanner makes it possible for me to aim it at the perfect angle too. Here are some examples: The long hall in Dagger, the bottom spawn that gets rushed in Glacier (seen in video), the Pipes spawn in Hydra, how about this: ANY SPAWN AFTER A SPAWN NUKE WITH A ROCKET! I could go on and on and on... but you'll never change your mind. You literally DON'T WANT to see the potential... you just want to be right for being rights sake.
Also... why is it a Biotic Slash build? Because last time I checked... there are 3 fully specced powers in that build... it looks like an N7 Slayer build to me. One that uses all available tools.
I'm done with you.

All the examples you've given above may fare better with simply acolyte shots and PD. I'm not sure who's not seeing the potential here.
Any time you crown something as "best", there are going to be different opinions.
Welcome to Earth and bsn I guess.

I never used the word "best"... Caineghis did.
If I were to describe it... I would never use the word "best" because "best" is relative to what you want to do with it. If I were to play him with Tech classes and Soldiers... I would skip Biotic Slash. That would be the "best" build for synergizing with Soldiers/Infiltrators/Engineers.
For playing with Biotic Teams... I want max Slash for top notch BEs. I'll keep this build so I don't have to respec him... it isn't like 200 health/shields and 10% weapon damage is going to rock the boat anyway.

Why wouldn't you just use Novaguard/Drellguard for biotic teams? Each Vanguard has their own niche and Slayer's is the one you just mentioned. Everyone needs to relax though this thread has gotten tense
If you feel Slayer > Novaguard/Drellguard for biotic teams then that's another story, but I would be surprised if that was the case (mostly because of the drell).

The Slayer can deal with Synckillers better than all the other Vanguards because of his dodge. For instance, Novaguard and Drellguard charging Praetorians is asking for it... Slayer can do it safely all day long. Slayer also has more damage output than the Novaguard by a pretty significant margin... Drellguard is close, but Drellguard doesn't have the unrivaled survivability of the Slayer.
Also... Phase Disruptor doesn't cause Phantoms/Banshee power immunity shields (hand of denial), Cluster Nades does. This is a HUGE advantage over the Drellguard IMO.
I agree about things getting tense. I'm sick of people implying "All this build is, is all Geth Scanner/Biotic Slash all the time, completely forsaking Charge/PD." Their close-mindedness has gotten under my skin.

I dunno Mega, I think you've received a pretty good balance of open and close-minded responses in this thread. That's what you should be shooting for. I simply feel there's an unfortunate communal stigma in regards to the Slashes because of their ease of use, and so those who want nothing to do with them just don't want to be labeled "scrubs," "spammers," or what have you.
