Well, just pledged $50. I couldn't resist the whole tree text thingy, the price was just too good to pass up. Plus I got Christmas taken care of for my younger cousin.

It's going great, hope it'll endure,

BTW honestly I don't understand why there is more than 200 people at $28 tier and more than 500 people at $35 tier. At $40 tier you'll get a second copy of Divinity: Original Sin, another kickstarter potion and a soundtrack. Another copy for only 5 bucks is not attractive enough for those who are at $35 or what? You can just gift that second copy (which will cost you only extra $5) to your friend to play co-op with.

Everyone who is really looking forward to this great RPG should start at least at that tier. ;)

Only 70 hours left..

Now come on everybody, let's jump at this crazy train together and get 800k stretch goal!

Wish I could.

I was going to buy the CE anyways when it comes out, Original Sin going to Kickstarter right after I spent my video games savings on BioShock Infinite PE made me a sad panda. :(

Well, it will be a better game for it. I'll only miss out on the kickstarter potion, but atleast I'll have my Anthology DLC stuff to compensate.

Alright, place your bets now. Will it make it to $800,000?

I'm going to bet on yes, but just barely.

Update #27

666.666 barrier breached! Weresheep Of The Flock Unite!

If you have no idea who the weresheep are, have a look at www.weresheep.net. They are a group of backers who helped us tremendously throughout this campaign, and to thank them we included this secret stretch goal. Now that it is unlocked, they will become part of the lore of Divinity: Original Sin, and they will be included in the game. However, there are mysteries to be solved if you want to unleash the terrible secret of the Weresheep...

Weresheep lore

Dropping Hints And Picking Them Up

The weresheep are real. We are sure of it. But no one has actually seen one. Or perhaps that should be - no one has ever lived to tell of an encounter with these most bizarre and bloody beasts.

We've been told that to find them, many a hint need to be picked up. Some are so subtle that even a Source Hunter would be forgiven for letting the trail grow cold.

Dyed-In-The-Werewool

Everybody knows that if you can find a weresheep and kill it in combat, the great prize to be obtained is werewool! Its magical properties allow adventurers to craft weapons, pieces of armour and other items of great and fabled powers. Not to mention they're cosy, snug and warm!

But where to find a weresheep? Perhaps the legend of Falcon Black contains a clue...

The Mysterious, Unverified, Probably Untrue, But Wondrous Legend Of The Mighty Weresheep

video link:

There once was a wizard called Falcon Black, and he believed in the existence of weresheep. Until he was quite old he had never even heard of them, but one day, as he sat sipping beer in his favourite tavern, a bard arrived from a far away land and started to tell a tale; a strange legend about a lady from the sky who granted a luckless farmer his wish.

Wolves had killed his one sheep upon which the survival of his very family depended. The sheep will live, the lady promised, if you become the sheep. The farmer agreed, but something went wrong - deeply, unsettlingly wrong. The creature became restless; it lusted for blood.

Horrified by its own inclinations it hid in an undiscoverable lair, but once in a long, long while its bloodlust would overtake its reason and it would go out in search of prey. Come the morning, its woollen coat would be dripping with scarlet, and soon another weresheep would flock to the secret lair, for the victim whose blood he had drank in the night, in turn became a weresheep.

How many of them hide there now, no one can say, but one day the lair won't be able to hold them all and the weresheep will be unleashed ...

Falcon Black was mesmerised by the story and started to research the legend in The House That Holds All Books: the great library of Maxosbridge Academy. Not only did he find not a single trace of lore about the weresheep, he was also subjected to great ridicule by his fellow wizards. He was not to be deterred though. He sought the bard who told him the tale and asked him where he had heard the story. In Andavale, came the reply, at the court of Lord Crash, before it was utterly destroyed in a single night. There was blood everywhere, but not a single corpse was found.

And so it was that Falcon Black set sail for Andavale. He was never heard of again.

Yeah, 800.000$ should be pretty safe, but I still hope to reach the million stretch goal. That would be pretty epic!

I'd be rapt if Larian make it to the $1mil. I like Larian a lot as a studio and I'm hyped for Original Sin.

With Paypal pledges included, they've reached 700K now, so I'd say 800K is a slam dunk. As well, seeing how the pledging trends in the last couple days of most Kickstarters, I feel that 1 million isn't at all out of the question.

I really enjoy Divinity 2 and the seamless transition from the end of Ego Draconis to the Flames of Vengeance expansion. However I have no interest at all in Dragon Commander, though I am interested in Original Sin.

I recently acquired Divine Divinity and it seems like an interesting game, but I haven't done much in it yet.

It should hit 800k no problem, the tricky bit is hitting 1 million.

I would love it to reach 1 mil but I can live with $800,000. I'd love the companions to have their own background, story and quests. Now it will be like a true party-based game. Speaking honestly I thought the kickstarter would only reach $700,000 but I'm glad to have been proven wrong.

NPC schedules, a day and night cycle and a weather system (impacting combat) would be awesome though. If Larian don't implement it I'd imagine modders might do so at least in some independent modules (this was the case with some NWN modules at least with NPC schedules).

Paypal will be open until May 10th. They were only about 5K short including Paypal when the Kickstarter ended and they said they'd include the final stretch goal anyway because they came so close. But with Paypal being open until May 10th, they'll make it anyway.

I knew they would with the PayPal.

I am very glad to hear this. Original Sin is going to be greater than I originally imagined it would be. I always had faith in Larian to deliver a great game but this surely will be their best game yet even surpassing Divine Divinity.
