Hi Bioware Folks,

I downloaded Return to Ostagar last night while it was available from Xbox Live Marketplace but I haven't launched the game since and consequently didn't receive the troublesome update.

Should I now delete the DLC before launching the game again?

If I don't will it cause issues with my saved games or simply not work?

If I delete it will I still be able to download it again without additional charge (as with all marketplace content) once all known issues with the update are fixed?

Cheers!

Well, I'd definitely clear the "patch" off your system, but the DLC seems to work OK, at least I've had no problem with it anyway, though I plan on deleting it before starting a new game so I can unlock that which was locked again.

I have a nasty feeling the damage may be lasting though, until a fix is released.

Ok, deleting the dlc, does not work. Do we wait for the fix, or can i just go ahead use an old saved game and the game wont be affected? Man this is such a drag. man

I've been waiting for an answer to this exact question!

Yesterday, I downloaded Return to Ostagar (through the Marketplace) as soon as I saw the forum announcement that it had been released, but I haven't launched the game since then and thus avoided the title update.

I'm hesitant to delete something that I've already paid for, despite knowing that I'll be able to download it again at a later date.

I'd would love a concrete answer on whether or not it's "safe" to play RTO since the patch has been removed, or if we are required to delete it.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE RTO DLC, the problem is with the patch update

I get that, but it would be nice to receive some actual confirmation about whether or not it's actually safe to play the DLC that I already purchased and downloaded, since it has now been removed from the marketplace.

XBL Marketplace remove the DLC at the request of Bioware, there is a post in the main forums that explain the it was the patch that broke the game not the DLC. The DLC was released by mistake to XBox users early, we where only suppose to get the patch yesterday not the DLC. Bioware was scrabbling around early yesterday to get the DLC available for PC users, then they found out the game breaking bug so it gave them an excuse to pull it for all systems.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on here that the DLC won't work without the update anyway but will it screw things up with my saved games if I launch and don't delete the DLC from my system?

I wasn't able to download RtO when it came up on marketplace -got an error message - and now it doesn't show up as available at all... The 'patch' downloaded as soon as I launched the game (that lovely practice of 'forcing the patch') anyway. So far my saved games seem to be playing okay.

Whats up with this Bioware team? When will this be fixed? Will RtO be available soon?

I've got both the patch and RtO and since my character(s) are past the specialization issue I've had no issues with anything from either download.
