I would have to see it, as assuming it's bad before it even exists would be pretty dumb.

It's not a mater of being bad, maybe it will be good, probably I will like it and I certainly will buy it. I'm only saying that I PREFER it to remain TPS...

It'd probably be a fairly interesting FPS, what with powers and all, but it would still be inferior to a TPS ME game, partly because headbutting.

No, the powers, rolls etc. need TP view. But if they created ability to switch between FP and TP, that would be interesting.

They could go for a hybrid solution like Bethesda did with Fallout 3 and Skyrim. Personally I appreciate the FPS genre for increased immersion, but the ability to view your character in 3rd person is a must have for any semi serious RPG (Which is what I hope the next ME games will continue to be).

SAY AGAIN?! Exactly.

I approve !

On topic, the FPS format doesn't bother me too much but it makes implementing features like cover and dodges problematic. It can be done, you can switch between the two views and use various solutions, but it won't be as smooth. And I like TPS just for the fact that I can see my characters, their customisations and the powers in the case of Mass Effect. Can't really imagine FPS would make the game better.

Oh, and what about Asari ass, Quarian/Destroyer jiggly bumbums ?

GO TO HELL FPS !

Not so much because of decreased movement speed...
I would switch to FP for searching rooms etc., I think it feels better to look around in that view.
The TP cannot disappear. Or to have lock on shoulder camera button (without aiming).

Honestly Im a lover of BF3 and the frostbite engine. As long as the game

-Does something when I press a button (vanguard charge problem)
-Isn't PACKED TO THE BRIM WITH F*CKIN BUGS. 3~4 tops maybe even 10 of them... yea its at least 50 bugs/bs "working as intendeds" in this game I can think of any given time.
-Isn't made to feel like I have to play like a retard to be effective, or in other words, if you have fast response or reflexes, your a better player. CoD, Battlefield on PvP, if you played like you have to on ME3, you'd be terrible.
-Doens't take control away from the player (geth stun/staggerlocking), Nothing is as fun as getting the same exact outcome of a situation while holding a controller that you would if you put the controller down... I sure love that shyt...

If ME was turned into an FPS I wouldn't but it. I absolutely HATE the first person perspective in gaming. It's primarily why I never bought Skyrim and it's why I was never able to get into BioShock.

:?

You know that pretty much all Elder Scrolls games (I can't speak for Arena or Daggerfall) have the option to freely switch between 1st and 3rd person, right?

Yes, but they are very poorly done. To the point, in fact, where it's best to avoid it altogether.

As for the topic at hand, so long as it has the option to use First or Third person, with Third person as the default, then I won't care.

However. MESSAGE TO BIOWARE - GAMEPLAY WAS NOT THE ISSUE WITH MASS EFFECT 3.

Some design choices, sure.  But over all, gameplay wasn't the problem.

We all are more than well aware of what the problem was.

Well it looks like I'm taking the unpopular approach, however, I want to see an ability to do fps.
One of my biggest complaints about ME3 now is that assault rifles are harder then hell to use with the best proficiency. A stand point of an AR is that it can fire with accuracy at medium to short range. Adding a down site would just be part of the ME3 to me. However I also recognize that people want third, so why not an option to go between the two? I want my first so I can shoot with efficiency, and people want there third, to "keep in the style."

I can't play FPS Games, I'm getting [ Motion Sickness ].
I wouldn't be able to play the new ME if it would be a pure FPS.

Try turning up the FOV (field-of-view) setting if the game has it. It might help.
