.... not content with his current record for most BSN threads lamenting the downfall of ME3 Multiplayer, Stardusk posts one more just to pull away from the rest of the pack a bit more and protect his lead.
When was the first one, back in August?
Anecdote: in an effort to work on 2 challenges at once yesterday, I looked for a Gold/Collectors/Condor "quick match". My waiting time was about 3 seconds, and I backed out and tried again because there was a mouth-breather on the mic (not me). Took another 5-6 seconds to find a new G/C/C. I don't think the game's dead yet, even though there aren't going to be any more patches or balance changes. As long as it only takes a few seconds to find one of the most unpopular match combinations around, at least.
Thankfully, the gameplay is still rock solid, there are still tons of unlockable weapons, diverse classes and skill setups and plenty of challenges, and the RNG ensures that it'll be quite a while before every other player is a TGI with Harrier-X/PPR-X who's getting bored with the game, which will also keep things fresh/lively. Really, there are plenty of other MP games still alive and kicking that haven't had patches or balance changes occur in months.
With all due respect to the Fagnan, his weekly posts, while a focal point of BSN, weren't that big a deal to the majority of the player base (indeed, maybe 3% of players have even checked the BSN MP forums for balance changes; the vast majority will never know that the final patch and balance changes have come and gone.

People interested in MP but not bsn residents still eagerly watched Fagnan's balance changes. It was vital info and it was always reposted on all good game forums. i.e. Something Awful, russian ME community etc. Bsn is not a center of universe you know.
