Javaris Tintop - This guy was just classic, great voice over work, great writing of his lines.  I wish he would not have been potentially toasted in DA2.

Sister/Mother Petrice - What a great villian or non villain depeding on your view point.  Well written, well voiced and excellent motivation for the character.  She really illicited a big response one way or the other from fans.

The Blind Templar (Otto) - I really liked this dude.  Excellent quest.  He seemed to be all that was good about Templars,

Murdered Thief - Dang I can't remember her name right now.    Shes the one that is going to investigate something regading the thieves guild and ends up dead when you go to meet her.  She was a bit of a cutthroat but seemed to lawful as far as the organization went, good look and voice acting.

The murdered Thief would be Lilley. Voiced by Alix Wilton Regan according to wiki. If she had voiced Female Hawke instead of Jo Wyatt, then Lilley's voice would have being a good alternative for Female Hawke. Lilley did have a great look and voice, pity she was a throw away character.

It would be nice to have AWR be the voice of the lead female character in DA:I. She is a very talented VA.

Meredith. Its unfortunate she dies in the ending regardless of who you side with. I like her character. It would've been nice to know more about her.

Orsino - For most of the game he was a pretty likable face for the mage cause, I would've liked to see him during the rebellion. Besides which, we were winning you moron!

As stupid as I felt she was, the Elven Keeper. Only because my Warden was a Dalish and I romanced Merill, the game keeps bringing me back to that clan. I guess Poll and some of the others killed buy the Vaterral are also included.

Templar Thrask. Nice guy, for a Templar, and I feel like they're going to need some more... sane members to contrast with their new, diehard position.

Maybe it was all the cameos in Mass Effect 3, but I don't think I want many characters to return, for they always have baggage that can take away from the new game. There are voice actors that I wouldn't mind returning in other roles, but I can't think of specific individual characters.

Not all from DA2...
Daveth, Ser Otto, Orsino, Seamus, Pol, Meredith, Ketojan, Petrice, Ser Cauthrien
I found all of these people very interesting and wished I could interact with them more...then they died :(

Neither Mother Petrice or Javaris Tintop had to die, both could have survived and have in various games of mine. I agree with Orsino though, he seemed tossed away for little to no reason.

I suppose that for me it would be characters like Meeran or Athenril, if you crossed them. Both of those characters had potential. In fact far more than any DA2 companions, it is the secondary characters like these that I would really love to see return. Others would be Maraas, Feynriel, Charade, and as for "good" Templars there were two outstanding members of that order whose actions unfortunately cost them their lives: Emeric and Thrask.

She can live if your cunning is high enough.

Yes and I kept them alive in some playthroughs but for ancilliary characters I can't see BioWare bringing them back because most people let them die.

Javarris picking though his guards items after you killed them has some of the best lines in the game.

I have a major girl crush on her. She also voices that female templar on the guest to find all the missing recruits, Mhairi, Cauthrien, and Traynor in ME3. Who I romanced just to hear her talk more (being devoted to Garrus, mostly). A PC voiced by her would be awesome.

Anyways. I loved Ser Otto. And Danyla (or however you spell it), who I was pretty upset about killing once I cured the werewolves.

I could have done without Orsino, while I did support the Mages it wasn't because I liked him. In many ways I liked Meredith at points, better, but it became too obvious she was going overboard, and I couldn't convince any of the Templars to help me take her down - without a massive Mage/Templar conflict. She needed replaced with a stable Templar leader. So I don't think I'd have wanted to see her or Orsino ever again.

The one person I really liked was the Divine at the Chantry, and, we all know what happens to her . . . my character wasn't even devout or anything, I and the character both just looked at her as someone with a good head on her shoulders - regardless of religion. I wanted her to pick a new leader for the city. I wanted to support her at every turn. I wanted to side with the Divine. I'll miss her in DA3 terribly.

I am not suggesting cameos but rather a continuation of the characters story lines.  I do agree that BioWare has made some mistakes in that regard in the past.

I don't believe in save import story continuations. I think they are a myth.

I wish the Hawke family had never bought the farm near Lothering. They'd have been much better off.

(Sorry)

Yeah, I wish we could have had more from Otto and Petrice.

Yeah pig farming vs a huge estate in kirkwall.  Good old Gamlen, maybe we'll see him again or his daughter.

Orsino. I was very angry when I sided with him and supported his cause throughout the whole game and ended up having to kill him. I understand that the devs thought they needed another boss fight, but ughh. I really liked his character.

Meredith

I really liked her character. Strong, formidable, duty-driven, etc. When you first meet her anyway.

Then that final section of the game comes along, Orsino decides to go off the deep end, and you trudge outside to Meredith. "Hey Meredith, I guess you weren't entirely wrong about the mages here in Kirkwall, it's a good thing you're not crazy and we can talk this ov- oh God dammit."

Would've liked to have seen her as a future party member tbh. Ah well.

I just finished what will be my DA2 canon playthrough and so much this!

Other characters, Feynriel I guess, if we're mentioning people that don't have to die but can.

The Arishok, but now we have Stenishock, so I'm good with that.

...I can't think of anyone
