I love it, when the jug plays it well. Often, they're dropping the hex shield right in front of where I need to shoot. But when they're putting down the shield in good spots, and taking all the aggro, it's awesome.

Clever use of game mechanics.  :)

it depends on how they are used; you can tell after a few waves if ey are beneficial or not. if they play badly, the hex shield gets in the way of shots (killing e shield and massively decreasing shot damage), they try to take on too many sync killers without teammates as back up and die anyway and they don't help with objectives (ie don't protect mini hackers, don't join big hacks etc).
if they are good, however, they are DAMN good. shielding against larger enemies, leaving a gap for our shots in corridors, setting up the shield for minibars (like the paladin, but better) and will still kill stuff, rather than just focusing on meleeing every damn thing that gets close. so I don't judge instantly when I see a juggy, but most are unfortunately the bad kingd in my experience. so long as you don't die and generally try to help the team, your fine in my books.

Usually I place my hex shield inside a wall so to not get in the way for other players. Got the small one that gives +10% damage so like to keep it up at all times. Exception is when I'm tanking some big things and a Ravager/Scion is behind the tanking subject and they'll start shooting. Then I'll place it a ahead and back up a bit so the one I'm tanking is on the "right" side of the shield so allies behind me can still shoot that one.

Also got the command boost for +10% damage for allies so can take less damage when tanking, but hopefully the other players will stay with and kill the mobs quicker.

This also means I can dish out enough damage on my own to take down stuff without the help of allies if they are busy elsewhere, but using the hex shield as more of a kite mechanic then. Placing it on a group for the instant pulse damage, and luring enemies through it for the DOT.

Weapons I use is the Typhoon and Reegar to be able to do some damage at a distant and also when loads is up in my face.

I'm always glad to see juggies as long as they have a decent gun and are willing to use it. I hate to see a juggy just sitting there and spamming heavy melee all day tho.

But sure I like to see them in my lobby. Match might go longer because I have to kill most things but at least they're actually helpful. These same players would just bled out otherwise.

Last night on my Krolord I had bout 50k+ over the other 2 juggies. But they still did good. And to be fair, I did liberally use rockets to clear boss mobs when I saw my teammates getting mobbed

It depends.

If we're 3 biotics on glacier for example, a jugg as 4th is no help, nor use, really. I tend to expect the 4th to change if there's an obvious theme/synergy already in the lobby.

If we have a mixed team, sure. We can play around that. Not every game has to be a murder train. We don't treat randoms as decoys. These days I'll play with anyone who puts on equipment and doesn't use a class opposed to the synergy in the lobby already.

We played a Gold game the other day (One friend and two low inventory, low level randoms, one of whom was a jugg) and got Rio and s/he was very good at their role. Got that really long Escort twice and s/he held a perfect choke point while we left them to die and did the escort, making life quick and easy on the objectives. S/he used medigel then, and other wise we played around them. Went very smoothly.

Basically, If there's a jugg in the team, the team strategy should change somewhat, Juggs actually make great commanders if they know the spawns and understand how to use their powers tactically.

I will admit to liking seeing an adrenaline mod there tho. When the escort drone is faster than you, you need to diet.

Have fun :)

Yes, actually. As long as they stay alive, then they are a lot more useful than most PuGs. If they draw all the aggro then it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

It depends. If I'm hosting a glacier gold game, please don't come in there with a jug. That defeats the purpose of the map.

Some players shouldn't play the Juggernaut because it lulls them into overconfidence

No, gold/plat is all about dps. And their tankiness means nothing as they get dropped within seconds

They're the most effective bullet sponges, so yes, I love it when they join my lobby. I always expect my team mates to be complete crap, but if they're a Jugg, at least they're being effective decoys.

Don't get this?  Unless you're referring to some sort of coordinated missle spawn speed run? I think Juggs work best on these small maps -- the slowness is less a disadvantage, they can create choke points.

Worst map for a Jugg is Rio when players are all over the map.  Lots of long, slow walks.

Usually they're terrible and I hate having to make up for their lack of DPS.

Well in my experience 8-9/10 dps class players perform sub par versus maybe 1/2 of juggernauts.

Having one Jugg on your team is great - it takes a little pressure off the rest of the squad. More then one Jugg is a big no-no however.

It's the only class I can play one handed.

Aim and shoot like a turret from a distance, occasionally bring up hex shield, aim and fire a healing turret to my teammates sprinting away after their shields went down across the map, and melee anything I didn't melt with a PPR if it got my shields low enough.

I usually am the Geth Juggernaut these days just because he looks freaking badass as heck.

Seriously... He's like 10 feet tall and his camo options look amazing.

But yeah, I don't mind not having the highest score if my team doesn't have to waste all their medigels since I am busy distracting all the Phantoms. Especially since the majority of the friends I play with don't have much in the consumables department. (Though I never come in last and just melee everything like an idiot... worst I ever had was third)
