i've never seen u on ps3. do u play pugs?

I play PuG, 99.99% of time Image IPB

let's puff our tiny chests with the feeble qmark... together as lovers of the feeble pseudorobot.

are u in my 1% league?

blip.

Haha.. I probably will give Qmarksman another go though.
but if you want to play on PS3, I always accept any invitation as long as I am not in on-going game. (.. so by the time I respond to most invitations.. they are full Image IPB)
I tried him against Cerberus once, and it wasn`t very enjoyable thanks to Phantom. (I was using Argus !! ..headshot was super fun)

I probably will try him just for fun.. using something with minimum recoil but high damage..
Not pistol since I`ll need acolyte.. so the choice is not huge though. Might try strict cover shooting Wraith accuracy shot play.

Volus Sentinel is so far the number one nominated...
but think it this way.. if it is about strictly refilling team`s shield and destracting enemy fire...

He is the Professional !!

hopefully those pets at least keep two enemies busy...

Hmm I havent tried even half of the kits in the game but given I never see a Salarian anything anymore I think it's safe to say the Salarian kits are the worst.

oldschoolers luv to say silfertraitor is great and blah blah bah. sengi gets no props other than, "my grandpa was in the war" type accolades. whatever. salarians are garbage too but not as bad as qmark or tsuck.

Yeah, that's just wrong. You just haven't seen a well played AA yet.

Boogieman has outscored me while playing as one. I was using a cheap infiltrator. Also doing well with a kit has more to do with the player than the kit.

I can understand not being able to play certain kits, but warp+throw in a game with so many armored targets is as basic as it gets. No kit with that combination can ever be the worst in the game. Outclassed by others, probably, but definitely not the worst.

Salarian Infiltrator does not suck. Before you say  it, i know. Its an infi, and infiltrators are strong anyway.

I also doesn't understand why people hate the Quarian Marksman. Anything with a good weapon and marksman is a boss killer. I also love the last evolution of Tactical Scan. Area scan reveals any enemy within 20meters for the entire team. I think it is a very underrated option. Its great for situational awereness. The cooldown of this power is also quite short. So not only me, but also my teammates barely suffer from surprise attacks, becouse we know all the time where enemies are. its like team hunter mode without the shield penalty.

Also dont get the hate about the Turian Saboteur. Sabotage(backfire+tech vulerability)+Homing grenade = tech burst = dead Maruder  / Centurion without shooting one single bullet(on gold). If more enemies are in proximity then a double kill is almost certain with the possibility of making serious damage on a 3rd target(or even kill it) with one tech burst. Not even mentioning it has the Turian stability bonuses and the super awesome jetpack. So i can barely see why does this kit suck ...

Tried

Quarian Marksman / Vorcha Hunger / Volus Sentinel in fairly underwhelming PuG situation.. all against Gold/Cerberus (if you can deal with Phantoms, you can deal with any enemies)

1. Vorcha Hunter: Not too bad. He is missing Flamer compared to other Vorchas, but incineration is quite a useful skill of its own. With >150% coold down 60% power delay is quite durable. One of only two kits with Submission net.. although this power is very tricky and unreliable to use. Health Regen / Incineration spam combined with Net does give him some unique position.

2. Volus Mercenary: Very underwhelming. Probably very little reason to take over Volus Engineer..However, Decoy / Drone both destract Phantoms effectively. Also.. there is not much thing for him to do than shoot / shield charge, so helpful for the team at least. Can go into cloak -> and place decoy where he most desire. Sometimes handy.

3. Quarian Soldier: No innate crowd control potential, no real contribution to tech combo, no innate survival booster hurt a lot. Pretty much helpless if surrounded by multiple Phantom / Dragoons. I am not quite sure how many players on this form can Solo Cerberus Gold with this kit on non-PC consoles... Personally cannot find any reason to choose over Turian soldier / Quarian Male Infiltrator. Got wiped in wave 8 because could not solo massive wave of Phantom and dragoons using him.

Volus Mercenary isn't bad, but none of the kits are. I think he's the weakest. I used to say Vorcha Hunter, but I'm always surprised at my own performance with him.

So yeh, gotta echo what a lot of people have said; Volus Sentinel.

you may be right... in the end what's great about this game is everyone gets to enjoy whichever character. also, each person's view is equally valid or invalid as anyone else's. so the conversation means nothing other than entertainment and possibly inpiration for trying something new.

volguard, volmerc and volgineer are enjoyable for me. voldept and pretty much the rest of the adept class are dull playing for me... cast then cast again for explosion or super damage. yawn. drelldept and batslash are top tier though. plus, they look tough.

i got 180k with a voldept on a uug game. i'm guessing that was decent playing but maybe not well played. there are certain kits, like voldept, that i rarely play due to boredom from my perspective. i'm having an extremely tedious time trying to get my penultimate challenge, council operative. i finally got my 11 out of 12 with the garbage asari adept. i remember how subnet was the poor man's stasis back in the day and now the majority know it's really the opposite. i must've tried every conceivable combination on the asari adept and never enjoyed one. all those "commando mastery" kits are lame yet effective.

but qmark is still, by far, the champion of most worstest.

ha ha ha! i love it. a rundown of your experience. there's a thread somewhere here about the melee vhunter. i tried it and had an excellent time. find it, try it and report back. the gist is to run around with adrenaline 3 and decapitate mooks as fast as possible while avoiding bosses; letting your team handle them till you've desposed of the infintry to return and contribute.

i've done well will the shock/stun volmerc and a mattock. harrier would be easier. medium to long distance is how i usually play him. the pets do a surprising amount of damage. different yet interesting to play sometimes.

yes! you hit the mark! qmark is pathetic. i forgot that he's somewhat heavy footed too. another mark against him including his feeble constitution.

i'm the same as you chief. get invites in the middle of games and return to join... but full. i rarely play with friends i've met online for that reason. pugs are good enough and i'm pugging 99.9% of the time yet am dumbfounded i haven't seen you. we'll see.

Volus Sentinel. I don't like Volus much anyway, though the Engineer is tolerable. IMO it should have been the only Volus kit. 4 of them is 3 too many.

SI was all we really had to make single shot snipers work way back when in ye olde days before Phasic ammo. Still a pretty good kit, and plenty survivable built properly.

QMS is a fairly weak soldier. Tac scan is slow and doesn't stagger, Sabotage has a delay before it staggers, and Marksman is fine, but he has no stability bonus. Contrast with the Turian Soldier who can mass debuff a spawn, has two powers that are excellent stagger on demand (and Concussive Shot can do some seriously ridiculous damage built properly), and has enough stability that you don't have to sacrifice a consumable slot to make high recoil weapons usable with Marksman...

And there's a lot of things that can kill a Marauder or Centurion very quickly. Bullets usually kill them far faster than the travel time of homing grenades. As will a good headbutt. One or two lift grenades will score you a killstreak with minimal effort.

Salarian Infiltrator is a great character. A little unfair to lump him in with the Salarian Engineer, which took a serious shot to the nuts on the Decoy nerf. The Salarian Infiltrator is an easy, easy Platinum kit because of the Energy Drain. He'll never equal the DPS of the Geth Infiltrator, the damage-over-time element of the Huntrees or the fast-twitch mobility of the Ghost, but his quick shield-boost power makes him a brilliant self-sustaining kit on objective waves. Most of the guys in my crew run him pretty consistently on Platinum with 200k-plus success.

Again, most of the characters here are being mentioned because they're made redundant by another kit. But if the Turian Soldier didn't exist, the Quarian Soldier would be highly regarded. By my opinion — and Kalilkareem's, if I may be so bold — that makes him far from the worst. The Volus Sentinel, Drell Vanguard and Vorcha Hunter, however, are simply characters that lack little synergy between their own powers, much less your teammates. I'd rather have an employee that did something similar to a co-worker than a guy who did ... well, nothing.
