 So after installing patch 1.04 everyone is bald?! And even before that when I started a new game the screen would turn black with white flashes in all directions... is this a common bug that other people know a quick fixit to?

Sorry i can't help as i have never heard of that particular problem with the game. After the strange glitch i experienced the other day with a very surreal romance scene with Merrill, i feel your pain.

You should take screen shots and post them! 

Haven't heard of anything like that happening before. Do you have mods installed? If so, maybe one of them is responsible.

I feel like my PC is just so slow that it doesn't load/render the characters perfectly every time. It gets pretty bad where the character is just a floating weapon, and you have to re-equip your armor but the face still won't load...
