My only complaint so far throughout my journeys in Ferelden is the static nature of the NPC's and of the communities in which they live. It just doesn't seem alive to me.
I think much immersion would be added with the addition of dynamic schedules (such as night/day actions, labor, visitation of certain shops/areas of interest in towns) to every NPC in cities and towns. Various festivities and events in these communities would also be a very welcome addition.
Is there any possibility of this being added in the future?

I agree. I think someone at Bioware should play the Witcher to see towns and dungeons done right. Even BG had day/night cycles and different weather.

I would love this.
Although, there is some of what you speak of in the game, but I agree, it seems pretty lifeless.

yeah, that stuff is cool. but the witcher got really annoying with having to run to and rest at a campfire just to talk to an npc

In an ideal world, it would be great. But in the real world, it has to be considered a waste of time. In an open-world game like Oblivion, it's of course mandatory. But in a story-driven game like DA, it is assumed that you don't visit areas that often. You just receive and finish quests, and move on. The time of the developers is better spent on the story and content part.
