This is my idea for how I'd like to beat the Reapers. Sometime before the final battle and after finding out about the catalyst, there'd be an uproar over in one of the backwater planets about reapers showing up suddenly to be blown up in space. Shephard would be sent over there to find out what it is that blew them up and if they could be picked up or recruited. There'd be a new character and in the middle of "getting there" cerberus would show up and you'd have to leave with that character.
However, due to unforseen events, the guy who's capable of blowing up the reapers got stuck and there'd be 2 choices (3 ultimately)
1. Save him, but sacrifice Shephard
2. Leave him, Shep is alive but the other character dies.
3. (Have some secret or harder way that allows for both shep and the new guy to survive)
Who likes this idea?

Sorry but, I am not liking it. Seems too um..... childish maybe? Unless the guy had access to entire fleets worth of explosives he wouldn't be able to kill tissue paper, plus you really need to expand more on story, not just "some guy"

No, No, No. You need Elder Kai, that or just have him dance around Shepard for 36 hours and you're set.
