Weird question, and I don't think it is possible, and it is for the most ridiculous reason ever.

I played ME1 ages ago, and then recently got the chance to replay it and then immediately leap into ME2, which was awesome. I was disappointed to learn that Kaiden wasn't a playable character, because he was my LI in ME1. I went ahead and started romancing Jacob (I have a thing for biotics). It wasn't until I would 20+ hours into the game that someone told me that in ME3, I can get back with Jacob, and so I broke it off with Jacob.

I love the storyline of both games, and I feel terrible about breaking things off with Jacob so abruptly, so I have a weird question:

Is there a way to edit a save profile and create a new career, but load the old save profile into the "new" career so that I can essentially play the career I have right now but before I broke Jacob's heart, while still having the other career in which I DID break Jacob's heart and stayed faithful to Kaiden? Willing to change names and whatnot, that is no worry nor care to me. I just want to see how it plays out dependent on that choice.

Any help would be marvelous! I googled but despite my google-fu, I haven't been able to find a similar situation, probably due to the fact I cannot quite figure how to phrase this in the proper way so that google can help me.

Thanks very much!

SPOILER: In ME3, Jacob will break your FemShep's heart by shacking up with another woman. Do not feel bad. Feel free to make sure Jacob dies on the Suicide Mission if you want.

the only thing i can think of is to go into the save directory for me2 an copy the save in question then rename it then use gibbed save editor on it

as red said in me3 you cant continue the LI with jacob as you do with others whoever told you so was lying

from what everyone says the garrus one is meant to be the best out there, never went that route so dont know myself but might be a option for you

RedCaeser97, thank you very much for the information. Broke his heart, ain't lookin' back. He should consider himself lucky if he lives to see the end of this mission.

krul2k, I ended up using a save file editor, but am probably going to do a replay soon (I always play games twice and go once full paragon and once full renegade) and Jacob won't even be in my peripheral this time.
