So, finally I can afford solo gold with no pain, even if as of today I have done only one, I don't see any problem in complete the lone wolf mastery...
i have also accepted the 200 Asari/Volus/whatever waves for the commando mastery... Sometime boring but ok..

but 60 promotions! Come on, what does it means?
Nothing, but I must do it since it is the only and last I need before write the end word on the cover...
with the BoB banner...

Promote, start from level 1, do one or two bronze, a couple of silver, and then gold to level 20.... And again, again, again... Sigh, I am now at 41 promotions... And it seems it will never end...
:unsure::crying::blink::sick:

EDIT: today, 11 April 2013, i finally made it!!!!!!!!!!!  Yeah....

Keep your best character at level 20, don't promote it. Promote the other 5 classes. Play a ton of gold matches with your level 20 & then buy only recruit packs. You will level up the other clases without actually playing them.

I blew through a ton of gold matches using my Krogan Vanguard & promoted all the other classes without actually using them at all.

The trick is to buy lots of recruit packs. For every 5000 credits you
spend you'll either get a 12.5k or 62.5k xp card. This can save a lot of trouble
in grinding out the early levels after a promotion. Once you hit about level 10 or 11
you'll be fine to do gold for the most part.

It helps a lot too if you alternate playing all six classes rather than sticking to
a single one. Once you hit level 20 with a class, promote it and then pick your next
highest level one. Keep doing this and it will go much smoother.

Promote when you've got 1 or 2 million saved up. By lots of packs.
Lately I've been going reserve packs because I've had lots of luck with UR's

You'll pick up a few character cards along the way, and many of your classes will be at a decent enough level to take to silver or even gold.

Yeah... I'm at 42 out of 60 and close to giving up. Sadly I don't as much anymore unless my friends are on, and since I changed my sleep schedule to be more, well, normal, most my friends are no longer on at the same time I am ):

Oh and N7 Mastery is the only challenge I have left for BotB, which makes it sadder.

This. But buy recruit packs too, they spread the XP more evenly then reserve packs. Of course, it depends on the money you have, for 2 mill you can buy plenty of reserve packs. For lets say 200k I would buy recruit packs.

Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be done all at once. If you get too sick of promoting, take a few weeks off, or just promote a couple of classes at a time.

I have 6 promos to go and 5 kits at L20 nearly there!

Take a level one into a Plat match and you will be level eleven when/if you extract. But don't PUG it unless you wanna get kicked.

Edit: all together I have 99 promotions already done as I promoted a lot before the Challenges came out.

If you promote whilst doing the other challenges, its not tedious. I bet you will grind the crap out of the other challenges, yeah, not boring at all.

I find this one of the easiest masteries, I am about to complete it for the second twice. Reason, I always promoted so I don't mind it a bit.

Grinding out these 200 waves for characters I don't like all that much is bad enough, there's no way I'm putting myself through the promotion challenge too.

I played gold with 1 class ( soldier ) at lev 20, promoted remaining 5 classes via packs ---> 100k = 20 packs ( 20 basic human kits = XP for your classes ) + lev 1 consumables/missiles/ops/gels
Worked like a charm for me...
+ with buying packs, there's no need for bronze+silver games, maybe 1-2 golds for fun or to bring kit from lev19 to lev20...you have points to spare and gear consumables to spare when you're finished.

I am at 6 promotions and I am sooo bored of it already... It took me 5 days to get the characters to lvl 20 again... I guess this means no BOTB banner for me... Buying packs does not work for me every time I try to buy packs the store gets really slow after some time and it takes 30-60 seconds to buy a pack... So this method does not work either...

so, yesterday I was at 3.6M, spent 1.6 in PSP and got only two character cards!
Could you confirm that the basic pack will be better?
by the way, I would like to upgrade some weapons too... I.e. the particle rifle is still at level 1!!!!
but the main goal is to promote.. Weapons, who cares... ;-)

1, Well, reserve packs have higher chance to get characters cards than PSP.
2, Recruit packs always give you character crads, so you always get XP and it is more evenly distributed. It is just a bit boring to buy 100 recruit packs ...
