I'm level 16 and all the shops seem to have upgraded their ranged weapons. I need a crappy tier 1 bow that a 12 dex character can equip. Any ideas?

hmm some random encounters with darkspawn still have low level equipment on pick up. So potentially you can pick up a low level Darkspawn bow.



If you havent been to Redcliffe yet you can get a very low level bow in Owen's shop under the floor. All the equipment there is level one even if you have maxed your charecter.

Darkspawn weapons have lower requirements, if I remember correctly.

Um, if this is about the deals for certain interested parties thing, have you tried just controlling a companion that can use a bow to um...complete the quest? Trying to be as unspoilerific as possible if this isn't what you're talking about, lol.

To Sarielle: I tried that but it turns out you need YOUR character to have the bow to complete the quest and not a companion. I should know, I tried it.

Hmm. Well I was able to equip a bow myself so I wasn't sure...I thought it might be worth a try though. Thanks for clearing that up

Low-end bows occasionally show up in the lesser shops. But a Darkspawn Bow is your best bet.

Sadly I've been systematically selling anything i can't use. I'll make the rounds of all the shops.
