Liara. only true romance

meaning of true love, if there's a chance she'll take it. She moved Heaven and Earth to find Shepard's body. something Kaidan,Ashely and Garrus never did. Somthing no one did. that part showed who cared for shepard.

She gave up her career to help you. Couldn't leave your dead body to rot in space she intended to bury you. She never forgot about you.

she scowered the four corners of galaxy to find a  way to beat the reapers so shepard could win against the reapers.

she was transforming herself into a living weapon against her very core as a person just to help shepard fight the reapers.

No one else collected your effects. ie dogtags. No one else was a Soldier a Lover.

Somebody with another point of view might say that she was the only on who wouldn't let Shepard rest in peace...

Am I convincing anyone with this argument?... No?... Well crap...
Nevermind.Image IPB

Not burying your love ones. Is not putting them to rest.

REMEMBER "The difference between us and them, We bury our dead we give them Respect".

Disturbing a graveyard is not letting to rest. but without a grave the body and soul is never rested

nobody else looked for shepard no rescue no recovery. the galaxy abadon shepard. kaidan, ashley, garrus and the alliance abandoned shepard. everyone else was contented with an EMPTY grave!

Only liara came alone to lay his body to rest.

MIRANDA AND TIM did not put shepard to rest!  what cerberus did to shepards body. is what you call disturbing the dead. even though it was disrespectful of cerberus it was necessary. This was something that liara understood and hurt her much in ME2.

True Love is shown through action! not just words and a pretty face. Love that lasts a lifetime. Only Liara showed that and thats why she is my best romance.

Pretty much. As I said, it's a 'who's got the longer dick' contest.

Except with the LI's.

This thread was going to be a trainwreck the moment it was made.

Uhu. Tali's romance is even better when you side with the geth on Rannoch. It adds actual emotional value and drama to that suicide scene of her. It makes the scene that much better.

I was not even joking.

Tali's suicide scene was kinda lame, but with a romanced Tali it adds more weight to the scene, making it much better.

Also, Liara obviously is the canon romance and has better content than Tali of course, even though Liara becomes a lousy Shadow Broker and an annoying snobbish biatch in ME3.

Just because something adds "weight", does not mean it is better.

Letting Tali die? Emotional? Yes.

Better than giving her a homeworld? Hail no.

Edit: There is no canon romance.

For my Shep, it was Ash. I might have to try Liara though. I just wish there was more work put into the Shep/Ash romance. If there was maybe Ash wouldn't be so hated.

So much wasted potential.  If Bioware had put the effort into Ash like they did with Liara, things probably would have been different.

I really think this is just a BSN viewpoint. Everyone I talk to outside of BSN really likes her character. (Granted, its not like I talk to thousands of people about this) She has always been the most interesting to me. Even in ME3. Obviously, I think they could have done better, but I didn't hate it.

Edit: forgot to answer the question. Ashley has my favorite romance story. Seems to change both characters. That makes it the best, IMO.

I really liked the shenko romance arc, but haven't seriously tried any other romances so can't properly compare them.

Yes it does mean it's better. Trivial and inane stuff is not interesting or good. Stuff with emotional weight is.

Giving Tali a homeworld is *yaaaaaawwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn* booooooring.

Yes, there is a canon romance. It's Liara. Everyone who doesn't see that is blind.

But my favorite romance would be Jack I think. Or perhaps Garrus. Dunno. There are so many romance options better than Tali. :)

Okay hear me out, because this may blow your mind, because....

Quite radical I know.

Nah, it just makes Shepard look like a complete ****** and a lame BF.

Having a powerful machine race as an ally outweighs having a purple afghani woman with deformed limbs as your waifu.

Because your waifu is obviously more important than choosing your allies wisely, based on what might win you the war against the genocidal reapers.

Shepard was a militairy commander long before he was Tali's hasubando, and don't you forget that.

A machine race with severely depleted numbers.

Ironically enough, the quarians total higher than the geth.

I mean in total, with every asset taken into account.

The geth come out to 815, while the quarians max out at around 820-30.

You're wrong.

If the heretics are rewritten, the geth are stronger and quarians are weaker. In that scenario, the geth would be the better choice based on war assets.

If the heretics are destroyed, the geth are weaker and the quarians are stronger. In that scenario, the quarians would be the better choice to side with.
