Recently I came up with the Idea of rolling My Geth Engineer as a Supporter.

Turret with full Shield Regen, Hunter Mode with Cooldown, Firerate and Movespeed+Visionrange.
Overload with Chain, Cooldown and Barrier/Shield Dmg.
No Points at all in Networked AI and ofc full protective Advanced Hardware.

Wpn: Locust with Heat Sink (I just like the Locust)
Gear: Stronghold Package

[ Narida: Geth Engineer ]

In the first Place I just wanted to "check that Build out". Run a few Silvers with it to test it out.
Turned out to be a decent Build. And then I tried it with some non-PUGs in Gold.
Also there he's pretty decent.

Saved his own and other Players Asses more than I could've counted.
If some People are meleeing You can toss Your Turret to support them.
I can toss a Turret to a fallen Player, who got swarmed, rush in and revive him.
Also I'm damn fast for doing Objectives while the other Players were holding off the Enemies, supported by My Turret.
Fast spamming Overload strips Shields/Barriers really quick and can trigger Fire and Cryo Explos.
And with the rapid-firing SMG and Inc/Cryo/Disruptor Ammo it can also blow of Tech Combos and Things You can do with those Ammo.
And with the enhanced Vision You can tell other Players where Enemies are and/or what Enemies are about to income. (We were in TeamSpeak.)

Never thought, he'd be that decent.

What do You think about that Build?

don't think you need cooldown with HM, the difference is hardly noticeable.

That's actually true, but You also don't deal any real Dmg and most of the Time in tough Dogfights I was just spamming the Turret to have it's Regen a Second earlier. And if there's Gunfire incoming from everywhere even Tenths of a Second may be vital.
But as I said, actually You're right.
But then, Accuracy is only needed if You go for the Hurricane for Example.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out your capitalization structure.

It's Like you Feel like capitalizing Random words whenever you Damn well Feel like It.

On topic: I much prefer my GE to have super-overload chaining as a walking, healing tech detonator, and I wield the Scorpion X to hold a flank with permastagger until teammates can kill 'em off.

Why compromise?

You don't need much Fitness on GE because you have the healing Turret. Go Chain/NS/Chain on Overload, full Power Damage/Recharge on Passive and Hunter Mode. Bring an Executioner with PHB and AP, Drill/Phasic Ammo. Take a Hurricane backup.

I've tried a similar 66606 build before, I found the that last 2 ranks of fitness were more useful in the passive for weapons damage. I don't use the 66644 build either anymore though.

You can get away with only a few points in turret if you cast it every time you want a heal. With a low CD I think it's faster than the frequency timer. I'd expect to be pretty mobile too.

Now that we have Juggy.. I use the Gethgineer as a more offensive overload centric Geth soldier

So your definition of support is "low damage output"? Cool! Its the same I use. Why you would want to play it or have it on your team is less clear.

Volus say otherwise.

But more damage is never a bad thing. OP, your build could use some tweaks, but you should definitely carry heavier, more damaging weapons than the locust. You currently have nothing for Armor, and that's very bad. Bring something more damaging. Keep the turret the way you've got it, but I'd spec his passives more for weapon damage. Personally, I chose the SR/AR weight reduction at the end so I can bring heavier weapons. I usually spec Overload either for all chain for mook control, or straight up damage for boss shields. Hunter Mode is a bit of a toss up, though.

Healing turret seems a little underpowered when compared to the almighty Volus Shield Boost which gives 50% DR and heals everyone within the radius of the Volus.

I prefer a 6/6/6/5/3 Flamer Turret with a power damage spec. OL Chain/ Neural Shock/ Shields.

Pop the flamer turret and follow up with Overload for fire explosions. The Flamer turret isn't 100% reliable for priming, but could certainly supplement ammo powers.

I have to say though, without much in the way of power damage, your Overload only takes off about 1980 shields per cast, whereas a power damage build does 3095.4 shield damage per cast. I rarely end up looking at a blue or purple bar for very long.

Combos are nice and all, but this character is excellent with the Javelin / Phasic rounds.

Very true. Volus does it better, but some shields are better than no shields. And besides, I was only saying that support roles aren't useless.

And even with the volus doing it better id still rather have a good dps on my team than a shield boosting volus.
