What really annoys me about them lately is getting staggered by them on my Krentinel and Kroldier. Friggin' resist damn near everything else, but the one enemy I really need to be able to get the hell out of dodge fast on, by the time I can sprint they've already decided if they're going to stab me.

It really does not help when the game decides to not play their sounds at all and they sneak up on me.

Image IPB yeh... Apparently a non moving "enemy" IS the most stealthy enemy.

I'd loosely say that in my experience three times as many people die to turrets than to phantoms.

But yeah, Phantoms are the most OP unit in the game. They should either have the deadly palm blaster, or the sync-kill, but not both!

I think if they took the sync-kill away Cerberus would've been a much more satisfying experience. If one snuck up on you or you found yourself surrounded, you could conceivably stay there and fight them instead of being forced to flee the vicinity, and in the process probably get shot to pieces by them or other units.

All of this is moot, of course..

Turrets play fair. Phantom melee hits 3 seperate times, even right at the beginning of the animation when it doesn't even make sense to do damage, and goes through all gates, stunlocks and instadowns most classes. Most of the classes that CAN survive that can't roll, and turning around and sprinting away has a 5% success rate against being turned back around and stabbed. Tech Armour has helped immensely, however.

if they took sync kills from cerberus what would they have left? snipers that can't shoot ****, guardians that don't do anything, engineers that can't even shoot straight. All they would have is the lolgoon and fatlas

Turrets can't sync kill. Neither can dragoons. And its been a long time since I've seen an atlas grab someone.

Stasis > Headshot

Projectile Power (or Grenade) > Headshot (offhost only)

Tech Armor > Headshot

Overload > Headshot

Equip ULM + Falcon/ADAS/Scorpion/Acolyte/Krysae > Footshot

If you haven't got an easy method to deal with Phantoms, you're doing something wrong.

fury is easily the best anti phantom kit. cast DC, then simply walk up to them (sometimes getting them in your AF isn't even necessary), and throw. even on host.

really any kit + scorpion or acolyte is fine off-host. hosting sucks tho, agreed.

Slayer eats phantoms for breakfast. Spec PD for shield damage and knockdown. A rag-dolled phantom is a dead phantom.
