Nope. Just recently bought a PS3 and the Mass Effect Trilogy was the game(s) I got with it.

So now I'm starting completely afresh. I must say it has been a long time since I went through ME1 with a new Shepard, I usually just pick Select Existing ID.

Most of the people who were having trouble replaying ME3 after the ending quit during the first couple months. I've given this game chances again and again, each DLC worse than the last. I regret buying any of them... except Citadel. Citadel was hilarious, and I had a great time with it. But that trick only works once.

My last playthrough had me getting to about Thessia, and quitting for months. When they released the Citadel DLC, I heard it was great a couple weeks later and decided to buy it. So I complete the game up to the point where you can no longer progress, then played Citadel. And now I'm finding it very difficult to actually finish the game.

So yes, I am finding it very hard to replay this game. ME1 and ME2 I must have replayed 10-15 times each at least, but ME3 I've completed only twice or so.

i'm doing one final run and really enjoying it. stopping to take pictures on unexplored planets wit camera phone, taking in more of the citadel, really listening to conversations instead of prethinking my response.

Bioshock Infinite has dismissed those claims of "ME replay" for me, if they weren't already dealt with by my ongoing Skyrim adventures after the ending and multiplayer thing in ME3. More relevant for me now is how to keep playing Bioshock Infinite with Defiance dropping tomorrow.

I never actually finished ME3 and still haven't bought EC, Citadel, or Omega and don't even have the drive with my ME saves installed anymore. I keep meaning to do so to play ME1 or 2 over again at some point but the motivation is definitely a no show. On a better note, at least I don't care about the endings or multiplayer rouse anymore!

These are all very good points, guys. I think I am going to finish these playthroughs and then start a new one. Yeah, it's a shame that there's never going to be another adventure with Shepard and the gang, but you're all right: the adventures that are there are just too good to never experience again.

Agreed, it's a shame there won't be any more adventures with Shepard and the gang, but MEHEM and the Citadel DLC I feel better about it ending.  I just make sure I save multiple saves so I can go back before the Citadel DLC starts and play that one over again.

I know Shepard and the gang completed what they intended to do all along with the MEHEM ending, so it gives the story closure and makes me feel better about the game ending.

My first playthrough of ME3 when I just had the EC I got pretty depressed to the point where I couldn't bring myself to start ME1, after that I installed MEHEM and each playthrough after I've gotten less depressed at the ending.

If the next ME can match the trilogy in terms of characters, story, atmosphere, etc, then I'm sure we'll all feel better about this trilogy being over.  I just hope Bioware doesn't mess it up.

I'm having a little trouble starting new play-throughs of the whole trilogy since I just finished two ME3 play-throughs on the same day. I was glad to leave one of them on the ending to the Citadel DLC....
But it's all very bittersweet. These games will always have replay-value to me, but it's just sad to know that all the characters you've come to enjoy seeing and helping won't be in anything else.
Their story ends here, and it's up to you to imagine what happened after you fired up the crucible.

I'll eventually drag myself into more play-throughs though, this trilogy is just too amazing not to play again and again.
I REALLY wish I could just forget the whole series and start over for the first time again though,
What an experience that was.

I'm not sure getting emotional because of a game ending means people are emotionally unstable, since it appears you are insinuating that.

Heck, I think it was Bioware's plan to make us emotional, it makes for a good story.  I'm not even going to touch the ending however.

No probably not lol.  However, if ME fans got that bad ending, and still didn't want to create an angry mob, that'd be even worse.  At least wanting to create an angry mob show's we care.

No, I don't think I'll have any problems. I hate the official endings, yes. But I'm a Mass Effect fan. 99 percent of the trilogy is amazing, perhaps some of the most amazing games ever made. Right now, Mass Effect is the science fiction franchise that I'm most interested in, despite the issues with the endings. I plan to come back to the trilogy again and again.

When I first finished ME3, I felt like I was kicked in the gut. I got around it by making up my own ending. I'm doing another trilogy playthrough, currently on ME2, right after recruiting Jack. When I reach the end of ME3, I'll just stop playing, without making the red, blue, green decision.

Then I'll move on to a few other games that I haven't been playing. But eventually I'll come back to Mass Effect, maybe after I have a new gaming rig. And maybe with the MEHEM mod installed, since I have yet to try that.

Not at all now. I installed MEHEM and THAT makes both ME3 and the entire series easily replayable. Newer versions of MEHEM will improve on this even more.

The fanbase (in the person of MrFob) has saved the game with his outstanding work.

If you haven't tried MEHEM I strongly suggest you do (you can just as easily uninstall it afterward). It truly puts life back into the game for replay.

This is pretty much the same for me, I am in the process of a new Mass Effect 1 game actually and plan on making it my carry forward save.  With the issues I have with the ending, it just would have been nice if I could skip most of the dialogue like the rest of the series and I would be fine, most of the time now I just turn off my speakers and do a crossword while it plays.

The thing I want to try is to modify the coalesced.ini file in ME3 to allow me to skip past the dream sequence stuff with the kid.  At the very least I wish that ran on autopilot (like a lot of the auto-dialog) so I could go make coffee, let the dogs out, etc, and come back after it was done.

Try MEHEM, by the way.  It really is well done and does an excellent job of improving on the ending AND improving the game itself.  Version right now is 0.3 but 0.4 is in the works and each version is very much better and smoother than the previous version.  Truly incredible work by one MrFob.

3 huge games, that intertwined. Plus all dlc's.

This will hold anyone over, for a long time to come.

it's been an emotional year.... I played the trilogy few times now, each time I finished it has been as painful as the first time. Now that it's officially over, it makes it even more sad for me.... i guess i was hoping it would never end...
one thing is sure, mass Effect without Shepard isn't going to work, especially the way they left it with that ending...

Yep this is exactly what I was getting at. It's that feeling of knowing there will be nothing new and undiscovered in the game (at least with this series of characters/story line) that makes me a bit sad. The first time I played ME, ME2 and ME3 were amazing experiences and I wish in some ways I could go back and experience that sense of wonder and amazement again.

It's not got anything to do with the endings as they are (I think they were alright to begin with and with the EC they got better) but moreso that there is an ending at all - the endings could be literally perfect and I'd still have this kind of "*sigh*, it's over" feeling. It's just kind of a bummer knowing that there will not be that "OMG NEW CONTENT" feeling again for this particular series of games and the characters/worlds that populate it.

That being said, I finished off one of my other two playthroughs today so I'll get around to the other one and I think I will do one last trilogy run, as bittersweet as it may be.

Yep as much as i enjoyed ME! and ME2 i have multiple pLaythroughs of both i still have

only 1 complete playthrough of ME3.

Now that i have Citadel + MEHEM it is more probable I may play again .

My Alternate Reality Shep doesn't see the point of playing though the whole game without Miranda on the squad for just a couple cutscenes with her.

ME3 put a blight on the entire series in mulitple ways
