It is.  It's more subdued.  There's still solid white lines at the edges/corner of the screen, but you can actually see stuff in the center of your screen.  It seems fairly useable with major headaches to me, whereas Hunter mode is definitely one of those acquired taste things - one that I haven't acquired yet.

Worth checking out for a match to see if it's still too intrusive for you or not.

I plan on giving the scanner a try for real, I just had to wait for the holidays to be over, so I can get new glasses (everyone's been closed 'round here the last 4 days...). 

I still haven't Batarian Gauntlet'd a Volus, either. I need to get these things done!

Woah. My guts got tight when I saw what was at the top there. Still, it's pretty amazing they actually did it right. I think in the campaign EDI says something about cerberus tactics, with troopers to slow you down and Engineers to set up an organized defense? Yeah they did it there. Considering most engineers will stop in mid shot to set down a turret while being blasted, they are taking steps.

There was a case of a crab sandwich on Giant that I can't forget, I got herded to the ramp ammo box by one P-torian, I barely get up the ladder in time only for the second one to come out of the control room. /Commence_ceaseless_poking_of_krogan

My ladder incidents usually happens when I go to peek over the edge, and actually end up taking the ladder DOWN right into the arms of a Banshee

All the hacks and escort objectives did not count me being in the circle when I was in TC. You bugged your game.

When I first opened the video link I was thinking you were going to have the same ladder fail I had on Giant - It was the back ladder coming from the cargo hold (if you go straight from the LZ towards the back lower end of the map). Instead of jumping/dodging down the ladder, I unstealthily got stuck climbing down, but couldn't get all the way down. Apparently I was trying to climb down on top of a cloaked Phantom who commenced to sync kill me from underneath. biower pls!

So that was you're first Gold Solo Jeremiah? Nice work *claps* (no, I did not watch the entire 93min video, I am at work...). I would have been yelling blue murder as I peeked over the top of that ladder if it were me, but you handled it nicely - always save a rocket or 3, hehe.

Finally got my first (and second) Gold Solo's done a couple weeks ago to get Lone Wolf challenge. Being home with a sick kid for 2 days allowed me to take the time to do a couple of Silver solo's (only ever done some bronze at that stage), then have the gumption to give Gold soloing a shot. Mine were slightly faster (both ~45mins), but I went the 'safe' route - used Krogan Sentinel with Reegar and Adas v Geth on Giant. Wasn't taking the risk of a sync kill wave 10 or extraction.

Once the animation to pull a rocket launcher is started, it leaves you with the launcher even if the animation is interrupted. In the case of a stagger, or death, the launcher will appear as soon as you regain control of your character.

In my case, in the video, I pulled the launcher when I stood up, and then the Phantom interrupted it. So, when I died, it was in my hands, you just couldn't see it, because the animation was interrupted. As soon as I had control of my character again, it appeared, ready to fire.

Cool, I should keep that in mind. I wonder if there were some times when I didn't even know I had the missile launcher in my hands!
