On Player Respawn event...

So, it doesn't fire ever?  Not sure I understand the deal with that.  I gather that there's a call from the nw_o0_death script, of some kind...but I can't seem to get my respawns working correctly.

And does PopUpDeathGUIPanel not work at all?

...onRespawn is one of several "I'm here but don't works" lying in wait ...


What happens instead is, get an onDeath script to fire up a GUI (see 'nwn2_scriptsets.2da', remembering that basically only the onHB and onDeath fire those scripts for the PC) and use a callback to do the respawn.

There are default functions in 'ginc_death' but i imagine you'll want to learn Gui basics


gb_comp_death & k_mod_player_death is the place to start ..


ps. 'nw_o0_death' seems (is) obsolete.

all the rest work fine.

(What i meant was, out of a thousand things that work, 2 won't -- I think most of us have come to accept it as part of the territory.)
