Ok...maybe the title is a little misleading.  Im just looking for opinion here.  I bought the game at release and got about 10 hours in and havent been able to play since.  Im starting anew with a mage.  And before i start my journey im just wondering what mods some peeps feel are a "must have"?  For example, has a mod been created yet to allow me to turn the hidious helm graphic off on my mage?  I was searching over at DA Nexus mods and it looked like there were some pretty cool mods such as the personal castle for storage and what not.  So what are are your "favorite mods"?

Respec mod. Lets you mix up a parties a bit more, or tweak companions to fit your play (IE, i made Alistair 2H warr this run, as I am the S+B tank).



Lockbash. Lets non-rogues open chests. Handy if you're not running a rogue/ origins.

You can find a list of the top rated mods on the Nexus site. Most of the time the must-haves are found in such a list, though it's usually topped by "body mods" - if those are a must, you decide. Your helmet mod has made it into the list too, by the way.

Two small mods that don't change actual gameplay but instead improve visual effects:

Circles be Gone which eliminates the circles under everyone' feet.  Great for screenshots, movies, and just general immersiveness since I find the circes to be extraneous.

Personal Annoyance Remover which removes a lot of spell effects that were (in the opinions of a lot f players) just way too overdone, such as the 400ft wide orange circles or giant fiery purple waves that persist around characters with sustained abilities on.  Again, great for screenshots, movies and general immersiveness.

Yeah I have been using his Leliana version 6 but never used any of his Morrigan versions until this one. I went and installed the hair in the pic and everything.

I personally dislike mods such as respec or stamina potion or whatever that alter the balance of the game, but porn music makes everything better.

Pretty Faces mod(prettier presets) Note: IMHO pretty faces 2.0 has more attractive Fem Elf presets.
Elven Lelianna mod +Elven head morph mod(naiath1004 version)
Vibrant colors mod.(more eye and hair colors)
Console - add points -attribute skills talent specs mod (basically add any attribute/talent/skill points through the console)
Better sex mod.
Queens attire mod
Calians Armor mod
Dialogue tweaks mod
Enigma dungeon mod
Personal Harem and castle mod
Legolas mod(zevran)
Natural Bodies mod + Realistic look mod
Shady Dealings mod
Whiter teeth mod

it's a separate hair mod, the Morrigan version 15 uses this hair mod, and has instructions on how to override Morrigan's hair with this hair.

To me it's quite fitting hair for Morrigan, she lives in the Wilds she would let her hair down, and go for the natural look.

One of the best mods I found for Morrigans hair and for your character is this one.
