What was the other mod?

What's the difference between mods available through the Nexus website and the ones available through social.bioware.com ? Eg. is it simply a hosting preference or do the ones here (at social.bioware.com) have Bioware tech approval ? I'm a bit wary of downloading code that's not been verified.
I don't think there is any difference. Most you will find are hosted in both places I think.

It keeps Berserk and Blood magic from deactivating unless you choose to do so yourself.

Better Archery has been cleansed from the nexus. Any other locations to get it?
It's my understanding that the person who created the mod had a meltdown and quit the mod scene.

The lad who made Better Archery also made a Better Melee mod. This tweaked some of the rogue dual-weapon talents and some warrier sword/shield and 2H talents.
Better Archery and Better Melee were then combined into a Better Combat mod for compability issues, with a few additions not found in either of the 2 original mods. From the documentation, I thought it was far better than the current crop of comabt mods, and is the version I use... It certainly brings DA:O archery to life and makes it a worthwhile path to follow. Having a grand time with my sneaky ranger/assasin ...
For the full value, it required a new game start, or to respec your current archers cos he changed the progression of the Archery talent lines to something more fittting with a developing archer...
It is sad. he left the scene ...

I remember looking at a mod on social and the author said that he/she was limited in how many files could be uploaded so the nexus was the place where all furher updates were going to be added. I think for the most part, both sites are pretty similar. If you have doubts about downloading something, just look at the comments section first. Usually people report problems if it interferes with their game.master-fluff wrote...

Agreed. I never got the better melee one - as that isn't really as broken as the archery tree. I did post a link to the archery mod that was being hosted somewhere, but I can't remember if it was in this thread or another one.

Great list, guys! Everything I use is already listed, or I'd pop some of my own preferences up, too.

cheesy 80s porn music? I need that.
I personally dislike mods such as respec or stamina potion or whatever that alter the balance of the game, but porn music makes everything better.
i'm with you on the respec. i hate respec. respec is mmo. this is not mmo.

Sloth,
Not had chance to spend much time in the toolset yet etc, but why can't tats be added to the presets the same way hairs, eyes, tints, faces can?
sooner someone can figure this out the better imo.

is there any way to have those "don't worry be hairy" hair to use with the player character instead of morrigan and Leliana? It just doesn't fit those characters (oh sure Leliana would love it, but where she's at, she wouldn't have such a hairdo)
Yes, my most recent download of this mod had a nice little description included on how to do exactly that http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=555.
To quote the author:
'If you want to wear hf001 hair just like your gal Morrigan, find out the name of the
hair your character is wearing(see step 3), make another copy of ".mmh" file and rename this copy
to the name of your avatar's hair. Congrats, you're now wearing 001 hair as well.
You now can use different colors for each hairstyle:
1.For example, after installation of this mod go into your:
"...\\override\\DontWorryBeHairy\\HF\\hf001" folder and delete "hf_har_001d.dds", which is the standard color file.
2.
Now go into "...\\hf001\\alternative colors\\" folder and rename a dds
file with color you want (for example "hf_har_001d caramel.dds") to
"hf_har_001d.dds"

Well, they can actually. The problem is that every mod that -adds-skin tones, hair, tatoos, etc etc etc modifies the changemorphcfg.xml file....so they don't work together. Some mods (such as don;t worry be hairy) have released xml files to work with ther very popular mods, but making everything work with evorything is next to impossible.
As Luchaire says on DANexus "Yep,it's possible. But that requires editing the chargenmorphcfg.xml, which is already edited by a zillion other mods and would result in tons of conflicts and "how do I merge these" posts that I don't have the time to answer."
To be honest, headmorphs in the toolset ae surprsingy easy. there are some good tutorials on these boards about how to replace you character's head, and I got it to work first shot.
