It doesnt matter, because this movie will be in development hell at least another 3 years. We dont even have a nailed down script, director, producer, etc.

The producers are known. They are Thomas Tull, John Ashni and Avi Arad. The second draft of the screenplay is being written. I agree that this movie will remain in development hell for awhile, and that will only be ended by the green light or its cancellation.

Funny, Jean Claude Van Damme could totally play Zaeed now that hes a bit old-ish looking. He also has a somewhat gruff voice and in The Expandables 2 his acting as bad guy was pretty good.

If they get either of those actresses that would be a fifth or more of the budget. You all need to be more realistic. If and when this movie gets made, there will be maybe 1 or 2 big names cast for the lead roles a la Prince of Persia, Doom, Hitman, Max Payne, etc. Not some kind of Oceans Eleven situation

Stop trying to ****** on our parade Kevin. We all know these actors would cost to much. This is, or at least was, a light hearted thread where we BS'd about our 'fantasy cast' for the movie. Yeah yeah, I doubt any of the folks we mentioned would be approached, or are in the budget. So what? WE aren't the ones casting the movie. We're just dweebs in a forum having fun.

This one ought to stick with the original VA, Keith David.  Fine actor, lots of TV and film credits, I think he'd be just fine.

 I highly doubt that Commander shepard would or even should appear in the movie.  it would rupture the space time continuum.... he was a character for gamers.  YOU play the role of shepard, being that he can be anybody.  

but if it were possible and I were to choose, it would be someone with mixed origins like "Cuba Gooding Jr", or "Terrance Howard" or even "Tiger Woods".  
it is a fact that in the mass effect time line human races are almost indistinguishable.  which makes perfect sense.

but im sure we will only see few characters from the game if any. 

And Anderson is definitely either Keith David or Laurence Fishburne

I think cavill (man of steel) would be a good pick as commander Shepard. Hackett can be played by the actor that is in sons of anarchy and played hellboy (I think they are the same guy). Hugo weaving would make a great saren. I think the actress that plays Victoria in oblivion would make a good Liara.
If this movie gets made they need to include the soundtrack to the game. I just saw oblivion and that music reminded me of mass effect and it sounded awesome in the theatre.

One of my problems with a ME movie using any of the main characters is that without their specific voice (or something damn close to it) they just won't feel like the characters we played through three games with.

im so sick and tired of every movie having a MALE as the lead role... so sick and tired of every action movie is a dude.... for ONCE LET THERE BE A WOMAN.... i cant think of any massive blockbuster titles in action movie where the woman is the lead roll of a decent sci fi/action movie....

so please let it be a female shepard... not a ddude... or this will be doomed to fail.... 90% of people play female shep than a man one.....

Ashley should be the lead female in a Mass Effect movie because she's basically femshep. While I think Shepard makes more sense as a male in terms of his father-son relationship with Anderson, Shep doesn't necessarily have to be the primary protagonist. I'd give equal screentime to Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Tali also. Kaidan no so much.

I'd make Kaidan seem more like Shepard's best-friend who chooses to die hero-ically of his own volition. Shepard feels responsable for putting him in that position. Liara should just be a young impressionable teenager along with tali.... it would be wrong to depict shepard taking advantage of them on screen.
