I am using the rws_dungeon tile set and it is not appearing in game. I have the Hak on the module.
I wonder if anyone else can think why this might be happening?

Thanks for the reply morbane. The tile appear in the toolset okay but it's in game they disappear. Am I correct that the 2da's don't matter then?

could it be affected by loading order? the toolset doesn't take haks into account when loading the content into the editor, only the override folder matters. perhaps in-game multiple haks are overriding each other? any chance you're using different haks (campaign, module)?

im pretty sure 2das matter ingame - otherwise there would be no need to have them
but either in hak form or in the override the game sees them and uses them - needs them - remember the override, overrides the data folder with all of the stock 2das

Confirming what Morbane said, 2DAs definitely matter in-game, and only one will survive.

I think I have it, certainly the tile set appears in game now.
The Hak for the dungeon set either does not contain the 2da or I took it out at some point. I now had the rws all in one tileset haks in the camapign folder and the tile are back.
There is a tower tiles area earlier in the game which is haked onto the mod so I can now take that Hak off. In fact though the tower hak will overide the rWS campaign hak so it should still run okay if I dont take it out provided I dont have another custom tileset in that mod?
Does that sound right ... ?

if the two 2das have the same name e.g. tile.2da - one for the tower and one for the all-in-one hak - the hak that was associated with ur campaign *first* is the one that will have precedence over the other hak with the same-named 2da
so something will get overridden and will not work completely - if that is how it is...

I think that's the long and the short of it.
This is the tiles 2da, so it may have the same name in different places. Using the all in one 2da appears to be working.
Thanks for the help.

PJ, it bears reminding that haks often separate 2da's and model/tile resources. If different PWs or modules share some but not all custom content, they don't want the player to re-download a hak with the same name every time. It makes sense to keep all the resources for each hak separate and then to have a 2da that can be merged.
So, when you just download the hak it isn't always going to have the 2da in it. That's not necessarily an error. You should check for it separately if that's the case (from the original download location, like the Vault, Nexus, etc.).
