Unlikely, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. The end of Asunder makes it rather clear that Cole intends to kill him, but if I've learned anything, no corpse, no death...hell sometimes corpse, no death. I'd say it looks like he won't but he may in some other form.

Duncan is dead. Was confirmed several times by writers.

Lambert... not so sure. Some plot twist is possible. Maybe he'll become a companion with "split personality" or a joker card in political aspect of the game.

Would like to see him in DA:I.

Very wise outlook, I too share the same opinion. Duncan and lambert are in writers limbo atm. They arnt !00% dead and may decide to bring them back.

Twitterdeaths dont count. If they arnt dead in-game, Theres always a chance.

No, Duncan's dead. Even without seeing the body, it should have been extremely clear from the context of the scene.

We saw Duncan die. You collect Duncan's gear in the Ostagar DLC.

Lambert? Maybe. He's not a well-known character so it wouldn't be a vital thing to add him in, but I don't see why they couldn't possibly let him survive.

When I first read OP (and looked at the avatar) I had a feeling that this will be more about Duncan than Lambert.

Modifié par Dagr88, 30 mars 2013 - 11:03 .

I guess it's possible the darkspawn that supposedly cleaved Duncan at Ostagar missed? As far as Lambert goes, all directions point at him dying. I actually liked him, but I can't see him walking away from that encounter in Asunder.

Duncan's dead. Lambert's dead.
Cole's alive, as well as Rhys and Evangeline. That's good enough for me.

Asunder seemed to imply very strongly that Lambert was killed.

However, anything is possible; I wouldn't be at all surprised if he showed up again. I never assume that a character is well and truly dead in any fandom until the series ends, or the writers confirm that they aren't ever coming back.

So who knows? Maybe he escaped and we'll encounter him in the next game.

Duncan is a bit different, his death has been repeatedly confirmed and it doesn't look like the writers have any intention to bring him back.

I love the character I just think he's served his purpose as our mentor and should rest :D

What do you mean Duncan? He is clearly dead.

Lambert's demise happened in an entirely different fashion, however. It's much more likely we could see him in some capacity.

Forget Duncan. The writers have said multiple times that he's dead. We SAW him get ripped apart.

Lambert's a different story though. So who knows?

What! We never saw Duncan die, The screen flashed white because he was saved by a qunari potionflashbomb. Plus his body was not found in the return to ostagar dlc.

I thought Lambert was killed by Cole...Or did I misinterpreted that part   ?

It was implied that Cole killed him (or was about to kill him).

It's entirely possible that Lambert just stared him down, picked up some Tevinterian hookers and recuperated.

That's what is implied/likely, but it wouldn't be the first time in a story where the person we thought died comes back and surprises everyone. It's unlikely though in my opinion since you would have had to read the book for him to come back and it be a twist in some way.

It was implied that Cole kills him, whether he does or not is another matter. If he survives my protagonist is going to hunt him down! Horrible character but written incredibly well.

Duncan, alas, is dead. More than likely the Dark spawn took his body.

It's possible Cole killed him, and there's a vacuum of power to be filled within the renegade Order - perhaps by a pro-templar protagonist who can lead the Order in a few different directions?

If we're going to be seeing characters from Asunder, I'd prefer to meet Fiona. Or Rhys.

And I love Duncan, too. But, uh . . . yeah, he's pretty dead. :(
