I confess to modding it out on the PC. I hate the weight restrictions in Mass Effect 3.

Although I do hate it, I do like it as well. It keeps the game balanced for me....

Did I just hear correctly? The krogan wants a cure to the genophage. Not going to happen. And where did he get the vid showing the female Krogan? Someone must've leak ot to the Krogan. But who? I will have to investigate this. What's even worst is the Turian and human agree that the genophage should be cured. Fine. I tell them the females are on Sur'Kesh. I'm upset. I need a bowl of flies to eat.

 

Shepard says she wants to get the female Krogan and leave as quickly as  possible. Its good to see Wrex again. We come down the elevator and Shepard talks with a former squadmate, Mordin. There is only one female Krogan alive. A moment later, the base is being attacked and learn that its Cerberus. What are they up to? We get upstairs and see Cerberus in full force. They want to kill the female. I hear James say something about how they got here so quickly. I would be curious about that myself. Has to be someone on the inside. We kill a lot of Cerberus soldiers before we encounter a very large mech. It took a few momnts to destroy it, but we did it.

 

I tell Mordin to work on the cure while I go talk with Wrex and Victus. Apparently some Krogan have gone missing and Victu has a Turian ship crashed on Tuchanka. Nothing is ever easy. But first I want to go to Grissom Academy to see what Cerberus is doing.

 

Myself, James and Shepard kill a few cerberus soldiers before talking with Kathlee Saunders. There are a bunch of students trapped. I get a look from Shepard that she is not happy Cerberus is going after the students. Cerberus are no match for us. Even James and Shepard make a comment about it. We reach the next are and see a former squadmate protecting her students. After the fighting, the fomer squadmate, her real name being Jennifer, punches Shepard. Oh crap. I'm surprised she didn't punch her back.

 

Shepard tell them that we will clear a path for them. We get in a huge area with dozens of Cerberus troopers. It was tough, but we got rid of them all. After getting all the students on the shuttle, Shepard suggests they would be better suited for a support role.

 

After talking with Anderson, I go talk with Traynor telling her good job at finding the distress call that led to the rescuing of the students. She does belong here and looks good as well. I think I will keep my eye on her. For now, were heading back  to the Citadel to check on Ashley and see Miranda who sent me a message.

Max Shepard Cont:

 

After a short rest Max headed to Noveria. Upon arrival she was approached by security, the blonde one needed to check her attitude, Of course Max refused to hand over her weapon that is one thing she will never part with. Before a shot out happened someone over the intercom told the security to stand down and Max went through with Ashley and Garrus following. She was greeted by a woman named Parisini, who gave her some information on Matriarch Benezia. Ashley suggested that we bring Liara with us so it will throw Benezia off her game. Seriously Ashley? yes lets bring Liara so she can see me but a bullet in her mothers head *eye roll*

 

The crew heads to talk to the man in charge of the Noveria port a salarian named Anoleis, he is extremely rude, Max wants to shove her gun through his eye but right now she has to find away out to Peak 15. His assistant gives her an option to talk to a Turian from Synthetic Insights at the hotel bar. Once found (very easy by the way) he tells Max to head to his office and find is information proving Anoleis is corrupt and he will give her a garage pass. Inside she runs into the security guards, turns out they work for the seedy little pain in the arse salarian so that means they are fair game to Max. She gets the information she needs but before she can leave the blonde b*tch from earlier shows up. She wont even try talking she will just enjoy killing her. My talk is good and legs are not broken but your ass sure is dead Max grins as she leaves. And of course before she can get any further then the bottom of the elevator the assistant walks up to her and needs to speak in the bar privately. Does everyone need her help for something? you know its not like she is hunting down a crazed Turian and trying to save the galaxy or anything. 

 

She was able to get Lorik his information and he agreed to testify against Anoleis. Max headed back to the salarians office and got her garage pass and watched with enjoyment as he was arrested and hauled off by a human no less. They headed to the garage and killed a few Geth before heading out into the icy mountains. A few times she almost drove the Mako off the cliffs, ramming into Geth and shooting them was extremely fun. 

 

Soon they made it to Peak 15, once inside they found some interesting things. Turns out they found a Rachni egg that was a queen and tried to raise her children as their own. This did not work out well for them and the rachni children rebelled. Max needed to get to Benezia as fast as she could, she ran straight through the guards and killed them all to reach Benezia, at this point if they are trying to stop her they will go down. 

 

Benezia was easy enough to take down, Max looked into the containment tube and was scared shirtless when the damn thing slammed its face into the glass. She could either kill her or let her go. Max thought about it for a few moments and made up her mind. The Rachni will live, its not her place to destroy another species. All life should be allowed to live. Ashley was not happy about this and throw a hissy fit! I would not trust my sisters lives to this...this alien well Ashley its a good thing I don't care about your sisters isn't it. Also Ashley they are not "things" they are Rachni. 

 

Back on the Normandy Max informs the council of what was done. As always the Turian councilor just wants to grip at her and tell her she is doing a horrible job. She could care less whats done is done and she will continue to move on. She took sometime to talk to the crew. She really likes Kaidan and hopes that maybe once the mission is over they can see where it goes. 

 

She has picked up a request from both Garrus and Wrex. It will either wait until after she shops on the Citadel or before but for now she will take a quick rest.

Tonight, Amy experinenced some Krogan 'culture' and wasn't particularly impressed; although they way they kept referencing Wrex was a bit strange. Maybe she shouldn't have been so hasty on Virmire:

Last night Charles Shepard went on a little trip through the geth consensus, that was trippy, then he journeyed back to Rannoch's surface where he took out a Reaper destroyer and negotiated a peace between the Quarians and the Geth by threatening the Quarians that he would just let the Geth blow them out of the sky if they continued their hostilities, the Quarians finally saw reason and peace was finally achieved and Shepard got two more armies commited to fighting the reapers.  Now he is going to the citadel to meet with the asari councilor.

But that biotics do near nothing against shields and armour is surely balance enough. To me all the weight restriction does is push the balance in favour of the gun based classes.

In a way, but biotics are the best against Armor and Barriers. Only certain biotic powers don't have a damage reduction on shields.

Max Shepard Cont:

 

Max helped Garrus track down the salarian Dr.Saleon. When they arrived his stest subjects look a lot like the creatures they fought when facing the Thorian. Max convinced Garrus that he could control his actions but not those of others, this is why she was willing to take the doctor in to stand trial. He backed down and they headed back to the Normandy. Next on the list was helping Wrex get his family armor, that was easy enough they wiped out the mercs and left.

 

It was now time to head to Virmire. When they arrived the place was crawling with Geth, the crew made their way to the STG camp and disabled the AA towers along the way. Kirrahe (the Salarian Captian) had an idea how they could destroy the base Saren was using for his own research on curing the genophage. Wrex was not happy about this and stormed off, Ashley was worried but Max told her to cool it he would be fine once she went and talked to him. Lucky for Max her and Wrex had been getting along for awhile now and she was able to convince him that destroying the cure was the only way. She decided to send Kaidan with the Salarian's and take Ashley with her when they hit the base.

 

Max destroyed everything she could find in Saren's base, even killed his assistant "I was just doing as I was told" was not a good enough reason for Max to spare her. She headed down the elevator to Saren's private labs. Another beacon was there and she was able to activate it. That is when Sovereign appeared to them, it made a lot of noise about "We are superior" and "You will die" not as long as Max is alive. She will find away to stop them. They reached the spot to arm the nuke when she got a call from Kaidan, they needed her help. Max rushed off as fast as she could. This was a man she was starting to fall in love with, she had to get to him. Before she could the Geth began to swarm Ashley and she armed the nuke. Max had to make a decision.....she saved Ashley....she had to make sure the geth did not kill her squad and disarm the bomb. 

 

Saren arrived and they had a fight, she tried to convince him that he was just a tool for the reapers but then again when has anyone ever listened to her? He ran and Max got the rest of the crew back on the Normandy in time. As they flew away from Virmire the bomb exploded killing Kaidan. She kept it together at the debriefing with the rest of the squad and learned that Saren is heading to Ilos. She had to tell the council.

 

This time when the council angered her she could not hold it in. She told the Turian councilor to go to hell and headed to her cabin.Tonight she would cry for the man she lost. Maybe something she said got through to the council, they are headed to the Citadel as requested.

Problem is that you have to essentially spam biotic combos. Individually, they do next to nothing.

This is why I still prefer how Mass Effect 1 used the powers. Not as flashy I admit but you had far more freedom on how and when you used them.

Max Shepard The End:

 

When she arrives at the Citadel she is asked to a meeting with Udina and the Councilors. Turns out they are not interested in following her advice and she is accused of being more trouble than she is worth. Max heads to the Normandy, she needs to be alone right now and with the ship in lock down its the perfect place. She thinks of everything she has been through Feros, Noveria, Virmire, Eden Prime and still nothing she says makes a difference. Joker calls her over the ships intercom and informs her that Anderson is waiting for her at Flux. 

 

She finds Garrus and Ashley and together they head to the night club to meet with Anderson. At least he still believes her, its nice knowing that someone other than the Normandy crew has faith in her. They decided that Anderson will break into Udina's office and unlock the Normandy so they can head to Ilos. With the ship in the air they race to the Mu Relay and land inches from the bunker door, they were seconds late Saren had locked the door and they needed to find out where. Ashley and Garrus fight along side Max as they have done in the past. but right now she has a mission (find Saren and kill his sorry ass) 

 

They make their way into the bunker after annihilating the geth left behind, Ashley voted to take the Mako into the creepy tunnels and Garrus agreed. Soon the Mako was trapped, they entered an elevator and soon met with a Prothean VI named Vigil. It gave them information on the Conduit, A back door onto the CItadel. Time for them to track down Saren and kill him. 

 

Max drives the mako through the relay(that was fun!!) they fight their way to the main control station and confront Saren. She convinces him that he is indoctrinated and he kills himself. If she can talk him into that then he is not as strong as he thought. Joker comes over her Omni-Tool, they have picked up the distress call of the Destiny Ascension. Here karma is giving her a chance to kill off the council and yet she will not take it. She is not sure why all they have ever done is give her grief. 

 

Sovereign was defeated and the Council saved. Max survived the debris crashing though the window, she swears Garrus waved at her when they realized she was climbing out from the wreckage. Humanity now has a spot on the council and Max suggest that Udina take the spot. He is a pain in the ass at times, very ambitious, but she believes he will help humanity with everything he has. She gathers her crew and heads back to the Normandy, she has new assignments waiting for her. 

 

 

 

* this is the first time that I have ever killed Kaidan should be interesting to have Ashley for the first time past ME1*

Linda Shepard

 

Its good to be out of bed and on my feet. I like to be with my sister Sarah to comfort her with the loss of her husband. Shepard walks in. Its good to see her again. I tell her I accepted the Spectre job and was just waiting to see what happens next. I would like to go back on the Normandy. Shepard leaves. Yeah I like to be back on the Normandy.

 

How pathetic. I'm a thousand years old and a bartender. At least here I'm safe and able to keep an eye on things. What do we have here? Commander Shepard. I remember talking with her back on Illium. I give her a free drink for gathering alliances against the reapers. I also tell her that I'm Liara's father. Shepard walks over to Liara who walks over to me. Oh crap. What should I say?

 

Its good to see the Normandy again. It really is a nice looking ship. Ahh, there she is. Shepard hasn't changed much since I saw her. Her hair might be a little longer. I tell her that I haven't heard from my sister and that my father might be involved. She has to leave to take care of some things. I'm glad I saw her. Shepard might be the only friend I have.

 

I'm glad I got off the ship and relax. Looking out seeing all the ships docking for one reason or another. Shepard comes up and says she's happy that I took a break. She tells me that we need to be strong when fighting the reapers. No one is giving up  and I shouldn't either. Its nice to have a Commander that cares. Thanks Shepard.

 

Damn the Commander looks tired. She has me head for Tuchanka to see about a Turian vessel that crashed. I hope she gets some rest before we arrive. I plot the course and will let her know when we arrive.

Max Shepard (Spacer/War Hero/Adept) 

 

ME2 Beginnings

 

Max awakens to a voice yelling at her to move. Its a dream has to be, the Normandy did not explode from an attack...did it? Disoriented she makes her way to the armor closet to see her gear waiting for her. The voice continues to yell..apparently she is not moving very fast, with this head ache its a miracle she can move at all. She makes her way room to room guided the entire time until the voice cut out. The explosion she heard before connection was lost cannot be a good sign. She continues until she finds a man fighting off mechs and joins him. His name is Jacob and he runs security here, they join up together and keep moving they need to get to the evac shuttles, but first they have to find a man named Wilson. They fight some more mechs before they get to him, he is shot but Max fixes that real quick with some medi-gel. That is when Jacob tells her they are Cerberus.....that is not a good thing, from what Max had seen Cerberus was the last group of fanatics that she wanted to be around. Admiral Kahoku killed when he found the evidence that Cerberus had his unit wiped out. Another unit wiped out by Thresher Maws and then taking a survivor and inserting his veins with their poison. If this is what they stand for she will have no part of it.

 

They fight their way to the evac area when the woman who had been the voice from earlier arrived(Miranda is her name) before they could say anything she killed Wilson...guess he was behind the attack but with no proof and only Miranda's word Max had to take what she could get. They needed to leave, she did not like leaving other survivors behind but they had to go. On the shuttle headed to a new Cerberus base (they are everywhere aren't they) Miranda insist that Jacob ask her questions about her past. Telling why she saved Elysium is not difficult, everyone knows that story. When he asked about Kaidan she cut him off. They DO NOT have the right to ask about him. That wound is still deep and it hurts more with each day rather than getting better. 

 

Once at the base she has a chat with the Illusive Man. He wants to get friendly as well, guess what will never happen. He might be the reason she is alive and if she has to work with them she will do what she can to weaken him in the long run. Max needs to head to Freedoms Progress with her Cerberus guards Jacob and Miranda. One that seems to want her to think he is trustworthy and the other well she comes off as a b*tch who does not trust Max. That's good because she shouldn't. Miranda might believe in what Cerberus stands for but Max sees them as nothing more than terrorist who go to far.

 

They land on Freedoms Progress and fight their way through tons of mechs. Max meets up with Tali, strange the people you can run into out in space. Tali had her team put their weapons down. Max reminded her that when she is threatened she will kill those who dared point a gun at her. After a bit more information as to what the Quarian's where doing there (trying to find Veetor) they split up and head to the center of the colony. The Quarian's where not happy apparently to follow Tali's orders so they rushed and got killed. Max, Jacob and Miranda kill the last heavy mech and get to Veetor. 

 

He gives them all the information he has and Max lets Tali take him with her. Back at the station she has another meeting with the Illusive Man where he gives out the dossier on the people she needs to recruit to go after the collectors. That is when Joker showed up. It's good to see a friendly face and now that they have the Normandy back they head on out to start the recruiting process. Miranda suggest going to get Mordin Solus first but Max feels like being a B*tch herself and will head out to get this guy Archangel first just to toy with the Cerberus people.

We arrive on Tuchanka. Shepard finds out its the Primarch's son that is leading the mission for the Turians. After a flare is seen, the three of us head towards the location. I have no idea why the Turians are here. We fight through numerous  ground forces and a few harvesters. It seems James and the Commander work well together. We reach Lt. Victus who tells us they were sent to retrieve a bomb and find out that Cerberus has it. Shepard was not happy hearing that. When I get back to the ship, I will have glyph dig up any information.

 

I talk with Traynor who mentions she likes to play strategy games especially chess. I like to play chess and was surprised she says she like to sweat playing chess. Hmm. Yes I will have to play a game.

 

I walk in the Commander's cabin and sit on the couch, I tell her about a time capsule I'm working on. It has all the information about the reapers and crucible that may help future civilizations if we fail to stop the reapers. Shepard liked the idea, but said she will defeat them. I wish I had her confidence.

 

As soon as the shuttle door opens, husks are attacking. We fight them with ease and meet up with another clan that is led by Wrex's brother Wreav. We head out when we encounter the road is damaged. The Turians fire at the reaper when one is shot and crashes in our area. Myself, Liara and Shepard are now on foot trying to meet up with Wrex. We run into Rachni and more husks. With the uglies taken care of, we get back into the truck and head to the reaper. A few moments later, the reaper fires on us. This is crazy. Shepard finally activates the hammers.

 

What the heck is this thing crawling under the ground? I fire my laser at it. What th..? Get it off me. Get it off me. Wow. That was close. I thought I was a goner. Oh no. Now its wrapping itself around me and pulling me down. I don't want to die. I'm too young. Harbinger! Help me. Harbi......

 

Good. Shepard made it. I tell her that I have to go up to the top to fix some temperature problem. She tells me to walk away or she will shoot me. I can't believe it. Why? I refuse to back off. She shot me. Ohh, that really hurts. I know with the wound I have I will die. Not before I reach the panel. Can't die now. Not...now..no..

 

I watch Victus leave and Traynor tells me that I should rest with all that has happened. Did I just see her look at my butt? Oh Traynor. If you do make me sweat playing chess, I will let you do anything you want to my butt. For now, I catch up on some much needed sleep.

 

I wake up from my sleep having the same dreams and learn the Salarian Councillor wants to talk. She has concerns about Udina and wants to meet at the Citadel. Alright. So I tell Joker to head to the Citadel.

Yeah, that's their problem.

 

But saying the weight system favours weapons is ridiculous. Weapons are pretty much useless in ME3 on every class except Soldier and Infiltrator. And I'm iffy on the second.

If its tech or biotic based class you really only need 1 weapon. My engineer went through hardcore with an assault rifle and had 200% recharge speed =) she rarely fired a shot.

Combos yes please. Cryo to freeze then incinerate to make them explode aww the fun.
